After a 12 hour shift I'm about to sack work for today, so I'm now hoping what I heard was utterly wrong. I do like an our or two away from work every day. ;)

Is this your main income or do you have something else? If you mind me asking?

The fact you’ve not heard any more tip offs doesn’t give me hope at all tbh.

I didn't really expect to hear anything more. I was hoping what I'd heard was accurate and the next I'd hear was the announcement.

It still might be accurate, who knows? But I don't know either way myself.

I strong think the talk today got in the way of what they were planning to announce. Probably thought it was a bad idea to try and compete with it on the news.

There's nothing to say its not happening today. The news tomorrow could be even worse. The news on Monday could be worse.

I don't think anybody who has a Glastonbury ticket would be like bastards announcing these bands on the same day as Boris's speech.

Don’t forget @Rob0510 had “had word” there was definitely an announcement today and it was definitely cancelling the festival. With that kind of intel we must still be in for something today.

in all seriousness I’m hoping for 7pm now and I pulled the trigger on group chat earlier, but I think 8am tomorrow is more realistic.

    • I am very possibly wrong about this but I do think that the pitch you get allocated appears to be related to your time of arrival, (i.e. you get the next one available) rather than the price you paid for a small, medium or large pitch.  They all appear to be the same size to me.

    • Liddle: "Drop a small nuclear bomb on Glastonbury to immediately remove from our country almost everybody who is hugely annoying.”   Farage: Free speech!    Polanski: accepts a collaboration on 20 innocuous looking set of photos on instagram but doesn't notice that one that says 'making plans for Nigel' with a guillotine image.   Farage: I expect the MET police to arrest him.
    • I take my lad to the local non-league club - Royston Town - not he's 13, he goes there with his mates and he plays in their youth team.  Not many people there - lucky if they hit 800, but lovely supporting the town team.  I've took him to some league clubs too - Cambridge and Stevenage are great to visit and not crazy prices - his first one was Cambridge v Sunderland (I'm a mackem) when they were in league 1, so a great experience for him.  The England matches aren't too bad value either at Wembley - it's just the parking that stings you. Problem is, he's a City fan, so at some point have to bite the bullet and get him up to the Ethiad. Have done the tour, but he'd love a proper game....my wallet, less so!
    • Said it before, but if Annie Lennox is available next year, then it would be an absolute crime to instead book anyone else. She's rare and legendary enough that you drop all other plans.
