Friday - Tame Impala

Saturday - Chem Bros

Sunday - The Streets

& a side order of Denzel Curry on the Thursday, purely for that Rage cover.

This is a tough one to answer. Every night has multiple excellent choices with none of them really standing out more than the other...

Fri: bit of Frank Turner then go see idles

Sat: Wu tang

Sun: The Cure

It is plausible every single one of them changes

I believe protocol suggests that during your first Glastonbury, the only time you leave the Pyramid field is to visit the Other stage or to go back to your camp.

Oh yes ... you fit right in here.

Currently my choices, also. (Subject to change!)

2019 is my 4th Glastonbury and The Cure will be my first Pyramid headliner.

In fact I've only ever seen Courtney Barnett, Patti Smith, and a bit of Barry Gibb on the Pyramid Stage.

Yes you are! Don't get me wrong if you love an act that's on the Pyramid and they smash it then there's nothing better but going to see something you're not that bothered about just because it's on the Pyramid is doing it wrong.

Sunday - Janelle Monae on my own at the minute. All my mates want to watch the streets. I am not a fan.

You're never alone, man.

See you there - I guarantee it'll be better than Mike & the lads, lads, lads.

Saturay - The Killers/ Wu Tang. (Tough call)

Lucky I like the Magic Numbers cause it looks like we’re gonna need to be in early for Frank!

We are going to head over after Billy on the LeftField I think which will probably be what Frank is doing anyway. I have seen the Magic Numbers on many occasions.

Friday: Not sure - might head early to SE corner

Saturday: Chems

Sunday: The Streets most likely unless I decide on the Cure last minute. That's the mother of all clashes for me and it's so annoying! Leaning towards The Streets because I know the majority of our group will do that and most of the grown men I'm friends with will likely be reduced to tears because of the nostalgia

Really lucky, only want to see four headliners and my top three are spread out on different days (and I'll see #4, Hot Chip, at Nos Alive anyway):

Friday: Interpol
Saturday: The Chems
Sunday: The Cure

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
    • In a 6,800-word Substack essay, external, the Clacton MP said "anti-white racism was embedded into the state", and that legislation aimed at equality was a form of "social cleansing"   .https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdjkd4mp93zo   The privileged white c**t hasn’t got a clue what racism is.
    • BBC iPlayer: Will serve as the main hub for past sets, including both recent hits and iconic archival gems. You can explore the BBC iPlayer to watch curated compilations, "Best of Glastonbury" recaps, and on-demand replays of historic headline performances. [1, 2, 3] TV Broadcasts (BBC Two & BBC Three): The channels will air dedicated compilation shows. Leading up to the weekend, you can watch archive programming such as Glastonbury: 70s Legends, 80s Legends, and 90s Legends on BBC Two. [1] Radio & BBC Sounds: Pop-up Glastonbury radio stations on BBC Sounds will feature non-stop coverage, including exclusive mixes and huge sets from past years
    • Got HBO Max to watch football so watched One Battle After Another which is a great film and deserves its awards and then rewatched Magnolia and that is a flipping amazing film...so much in it. (also rewatching Angels In America series which is also amazing).
