Hi

So... My wife is currently in hospital and it looks like she may be going into labour early.. I have a spare ticket for today (The Strokes) and am selling it at face value. Happy to waiver the booking fee so it will be £65. Only thing is you will need to collect it from me at the Whittington Hospital in Archway... Let me know!

Yes please. Will message you!

or you could probably just walk in with a bottle or two of anything in your back pocket as they were not patting anyone down at all!

Is this for real? Was toying with trying to smuggle a bottle of rum in. How were bag checks?

The bag checks were thorough, the metal checks were thorough, the person checks were done with an airport scanner and they asked you to show what was in your pocket

Could ld still smuggle stuff in as they didn’t frisk but I’d say the security was way more than I’m used to.

I registered yesterday and they only took an hour to confirm membership

Looks like they're not open on weekends though - or at least that's what I'm guessing as I've heard nothing. Would be hugely grateful if anyone can get me a couple for tomorrow!

That sushi wrap place is so nice. Not actually any fish in it but still good.

Good to hear, will look for that today. Yesterday I had a falafel wrap from somewhere near the X stage that cost £9 & was utterly mediocre.

Did an All Points East ticket just sell for face value?!?!

Strokes tickets have been going for at or above face value for a while now.

Who was good and who was rubbish last night?

Spiritualized were spectacular, as others have already said. Hot Chip’s Sabotage cover probably the single highlight. Chems show was great, though my enjoyment was marred a bit by the busyness/rowdyness of the crowd around us (must be getting old!!)

I chose Roisin Murphy instead of Spiritualized and she was fun to watch 100%. Jon Hopkins was phenomenal — an added benefit was, unbeknown to me, I avoided the tentative downpour in the indoor West Stage?

Question: last year there was a real ale tent. Yesterday I couldn’t find it. Did anybody found one? If yes, whereabout?

I didn’t but I think last year it was a sort of light brown stretch tent near Firestone, and that was there again yesterday (didn’t go in).

    • Yeah, that was always a possibility.   We're obviously obsessed with Glastonbury and so assumptions are made when something like that is said. It's unlikely Madonna feels quite as strongly about the festival and so her being excited about something big in the UK next year (or however she phrased it) should really be taken as carrying a lot more possibilities.
    • MGK to headline anyone?
    • Fantastic news.  Not got our settlement car park pass yet, but this gives me hope that it will arrive soon
    • I think they mentioned it in one and interview that the concept of Passport is one thing that differentiates the Sziget from other festival and encourages to explore the site outside music stuff. I doubt they will get rid of it, they might just be late, like they are with everything else.
