How did the announcements for this work last year? The festival announced all at once and the APE Presents days all announced separately?

Think The National gig and most of its undercard got announced alongside the first festival drop.

The xx was announced first, with The National, TWOD, Future Islands and Warpaint. Then a week later the main festival announcement was added to The xx. Then like a month later was Nick Cave and a month after that was Catfish.

When The xx and The National were announced, someone said on DIS that they'd heard about this and that the other acts would be Bjork, LCD and Nick Cave so we already knew quite a bit straight away.

I've had a sort of teaser email with this link

Does that mean that an announcement is imminent?

The big events tend to make their announcements round pay-day - tho I can't see too many aiming at next month's (cos of xmas) - so there might something in the next week.

Tbh I'm starting to go off this Strokes idea. The only indication we have that they're even gonna be active next year is my mate's mate who I've never even met being told they were doing it. It's become so widely predicted on here that I kinda forget it came from such a questionable source. My mate who told me is obsessed with The Strokes too so I wouldn't even be surprised if man told him just to mess with him.

Vampire Weekend / Disclosure / Bon Iver

BMTH / Smashing Pumpkins / David Byrne

I'm just kind of pensively sat, refreshing every so often in the hope of getting some info today. Come on APE, get on it...

I don't think they'd announce it on a Friday.

    • Just watched Annie Lennox at Wilderness Festival as part of her global feminist The Circle initiative. She curated the 2 hour slot with special guests including Jessie Ware and then did  a 1/2 hour slot singing her and Eurythmics hits at the end. Her voice is amazing still and I am convinced she would do an amazing set on Sunday afternoon. She even wore a jacket with a sparkling CND symbol on the back! It’s a sign!!
    • 1. Jack White - Frozen Charlotte 2. Buffalo Traffic Jam - Pictures Of You 3. The Rolling Stones - Foreign Tongues
    • Is it one of those bollocks things where ones is a festival and the other would be a show lol
    • Hello,   I have no idea what the answer is to your question, but wish you well in your quest for information.
    • Yes, I was asking about comedy, and also it seems odd that after bringing it back last year, the Seaside Stage seems to have gone again. Probably why Massaoke (basically a big karaoke sing-along) is now on the Castle Stage. But on all three days?! Does all seem a little desperate this year, though hopefully I will be proved wrong. Still think the Mary Wallopers fiasco has probably put a lot of artists off performing at Victorious, hence the reduction in stages and acts appearing... One of the best things about Victorious in the early days was its value for money compared to some of the other bigger festivals, but this certainly not the case anymore...
