I would be deeply suprirsed if the new-look Linkin Park were not one of the two missing headliners.

Saying that, I thought there was meant to be a big co-ordinated announcement of multiple European festivals today as a sign it was going to be the big announcement of their return. Evidently not.

There isn't two missing headliners, there is only 1. The 3rd option is the sub, Sleep Token aren't headlining the 3rd stage.

My bad. It looked like two to me because of the way it's structured, but if it's one main and one sub still to be revealed, withdrawn comment.

Exactly lol. Sum 41 London is £70 standing. I've paid £68 for The Prodigy at Brixton because they are capable of playing higher venues and the festival positions they get here. Sum 41 are generally an academy band until this last jaunt and after playing 3rd down Download...same position Pendulum played on the big anniversary year who are doing Drumsheds with Knife Party and Nero supporting for £45.

Playing at Drumsheds is slightly different to be fair

Streets also played there for similar price, when they would usually charge a bit more.

Good i guess (except its a pain to get to)

Not sure whether this has already been discussed?

Radio 4 You and yours - Do you go to Gigs? Interesting conversation I listened to last week. As I suspected, for the huge stadium gigs, there are a lot of people going that would not normally go to any other gigs throughout the year and are willing to accept the premium seat price, travel/accommodation costs and treat it as a ‘mini holiday’.

    • Been going for 10 years. Wasn't massively keen on the lineup beforehand - although as usual after some research I did start to really look forward to it. We had a brilliant time, felt more like old school Latitude, lovely vibe and we met some nice people. We saw loads but highlights for me -   Lime Garden Florence Road Jalen Ngonda David Byrne - Not a fan of him or TH really but we went out of interest and it was one of those festival shows that you'll never forget. The staging was off the scale. Eleni Drake - Up on BBC Introducing, what a haven that stage is.  Westside Cowboy Getdown Services - Probably highlight of the weekend for me. Absolutely brilliant and have booked tix for them in Bristol next year. Everything Everything - They're my favourite band so I loved it when they were added. A great start to Sunday and met loads of their fans up near the front. Alex James Britpop - We enjoyed it and Gary Stringer FFS! David O'Doherty - Saw him twice, brilliant as usual. Self Esteem - Adore Rebecca and the show was as live affirming as always.   Overall, it was such a brilliant weekend. Beforehand we said that we might give it a miss next year but I'm pretty sure that we'll be sucked right back in!
    • Me too.  Reckon they must have more this year.   Not bad is it - ended up paying same price as this year.  It still represents great value for me.  Well, until I check my bank account the Monday after the weekend.
    • Well mayors have more powers to do that sh*t...but they have to make the numbers add up.
