I wouldn't have even considered it if it wasn't advertised that the supports would be doing their albums in full too, all of which I liked and remind me of being at uni in Leeds, plus I like The Coral too. I justified that I'd get to £50-60 anyway if We Are Scientists and The Cribs individually announced anniversary tours for those albums (and have to go into a city for both of those too), so with 3 other bands on top as a bonus it's pretty good.

Tempted by the Hydro because of Everything Everything as support but will depend on price. 

 

They've done an arena tour before, "All the Hits" back in 2022. Was at the O2 Arena show, standing sold out (obviously), upper seat were closed, but lower seats were decently full. Don't see them selling out many (if any) of the venues, but don't think it's that ambitious. One of those bands that falls a bit in between arenas and academies. Price will be the big factor, hoping it's around £60 for standing, because if they creep up towards £80 think they will struggle to shift tickets.

I've got a hotel close enough by. The headliners aren't my favourite but the 4 previous acts do everything for me.

It's slam dunk weekend but only 3/4 acts on there for me. I reckon Nova Twins and Ash are food chances for Glastonbury though Nova Twins are also a good options for Download.

Yeah it popped up on my phone UK dates to follow the one's announced. They are another band I love for their earlier stuff but they've not really made a quality album in 20 years for me. Nothing that didn't just sound like a repetition of another album while they try to go more mainstream and it not not working. Some bands just aren't for the mainstream.

 

While I will admit they have sold tickets to bigger yours obviously since those first few albums, many people will jump on any tour from any band but that doesn't make them superior for me. Had Download not had 4 days and needed to cater the cost of Metallica twice for their anniversary, no way do I think Distubed actually sub. The issue though is with how they arrange Download now, the sub is essentially playing where the 3rd down band would be.

Does anyone have any tips on buying tickets on DICE when they go on sale for an overly popular gig, please?

eg. is there a queue system to get into, or just refreshing and luck?

 

Only used them for easy-to-get tickets so far.

Dates plural could be promising. Seems to suggest something beyond London.

There much in it capacity-wise between Finsbury and BST HP?

 

Saying that Finsbury still isn't sold out, so if it is bigger and tends to charge higher prices, maybe HP wasn't the way to go.

      sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.

      Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.

      I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…

      Citizenship via investment programs basically work by saying if you invest this much in our economy (say buy a property worth x) then we will either grant you citizenship or residency with a route to it. The EU has rules on how low countries can set the bar. Montenegro was one of the easier ones to get and they've had to tighten it up.
