Trying to help a friend out, bit of a joke really. Got through in about 1 minute, all standing tickets sold - seems quick, but what do I know. Presumably they will be on resale sites already (despite promises to cancel the etc)

Ticketmaster sold out immediately - tried the arena ticket store (Birmingham - The ticket factory) and got standing straight away

It's disgusting really. I tried in the pre-sales and this morning and didn't get any tickets. In fact, Ticketmaster had sold out on one of the gigs 1 minute before they were due to go up for sale!

Many of these tickets are clearly being put directly on reseller sites and it amazes me that nothing is being done about it. Reselling tickets at a premium is bad enough. Having the reseller themselves buy tickets and resell is disgusting. But for resellers to actually be given an allocation which they can sell at any price they like is horrendous!

Looking at the Plymouth Pavilions gig, over 10% of the venue's capacity was on reseller websites this morning 30 minutes after they went on sale! It's awful.

Its amazing the love in for him at the moment, but regardless of how "meat & potatos" it may be, he is a proper Rock star. He has more about him as a personality than most. There is a generation who have never seen him live either. Plus its easy to forget how massive Oasis were.

I didnt manage to get a ticket to his gigs

I like Wall of Glass. Nothing else Ive heard from the album appeals so far - but Wall of Glass is good.

Album leaked and it's actually pretty decent. Several similar sounding songs in it, should have changed some of them with bonus tracks cause all 3 of them are interesting

More than pretty decent, my friend.

I know what you mean by the bonus tracks though. Especially, Doesn't Have To Be That Way, which is the possibly most anti-Gallagher track ever (until Noel's album comes out hopefully ;))

It has been worth the wait for me, anyway

Old Trafford Cricket Ground?

edit: want 2 embed tweetz

Either that or Heaton Park/Etihad? Either way another ball breaker to get tickets I'm guessing.

"Round up the troops", hah. Que Oasis reunion reunion rumour round 1,000

‘The troops’ will be something like Ashcroft, Blossoms and Bonehead’s band.

I think the album's decent but nothing more than that, starts off strongly but definitely tails off a bit after For What it's Worth. The first two songs are the best on it for me. Glad I saw him at Glastonbury now as I saw pretty much everything I needed there rather than having to fork out for the arena tour too.

Gotta day I’m pleasantly surprised by this. Hardly gonna win over any new fans or win any awards but there are some really good songs here. The slower ones seem to work best, with the rockier ones sometimes just sounding like bad Oasis b-sides, but overall not bad at all. Didnt realise how much I’d missed hearing Liam’s voice.

That's because production kinda ruined rockier ones. Greedy Soul is amazing live for example

    • 13th Primavera (Thursday was definitely making me feel like this was the cursed year).  Blood Orange was such a party by the end of their set but we all knew that rain storm was approaching.  So gutted Massive Attack didn't play after the false hope of a new rescheduling, especially knowing that Elizabeth Fraser & Horace Andy were backstage with them!  Managed a bit of Melt Banana but was just so over the weather by that point.   Friday was awesome, Rilo Kiley were so much fun.  Never been the biggest Cure fan but made the effort for them after Thursday & Robert Smith sounds like he did back in the 80s.  PinkPantheress & Viagra Boys were also great.   The highlight for me was Sudan Archives on the Saturday, she was stunning & with the Olivia Rodrigo surprise set too it made up for the Thursday sh*t show.  Dijon & Knocked Loose also superb.   Shoutout to Cardiacs on the Tuesday too, they were so LOUD, played a storming set.
    • OK, never mind, I'll take normal Nine Inch Nails.
    • Probably my least favourite of the five editions I've been to, but still plenty good enough for me to go again. Weirdly, I was just totally running out of stamina a lot earlier into the night than I remember happening in the past. I feel like I missed a lot of the weirder sets on the smaller stages as I was just totally cooked. Not Primavera's fault, obviously. Maybe I'm just getting old - or maybe I need to pace my drinking better...   Anyway - is David Byrne a realistic get for next year? Certainly hoping so.
    • watching clips of the cure in Barcelona, wow 2 hours 25 minute set. That's gonna be tough on the Sunday but can't bloody wait for it
