Googled it, found this http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/850520.stm seems a bit Brexit really, I do find it amusing how old timey internet the article is, and that their lawyer claimed they weren't racist instead of them

Fuck me, that reads like a satire. Imagine the face on Steps' publicist when they found out an interview wound up in two of them spouting anti-immigration babble and Lisa Scott-Lee advocating capital punishment.

May have been mentioned in another thread, but someone in the crowd ( @mjsell?) at last night's Sylvan Esso gig shouted 'Glastonbury?'  and they responded with a rather coy, hushed 'yeah, yeah...'

Bit late to this but YES! Work ruined any chance of being there on Thursday so couldn't be more made up.

This looks a hint for Kaisers and not Steps. I'm seeing them in December anyway

It's seen as a possible hint for both as Lee from Steps has hinted at them seeing each other again at Glasto. I think it probably all but confirms KC either way but what slot who knows.

I'd rather Steps open the Other Stage than The Charlatans

Massively!

Sorry I've just realised it's Lee from Steps and not some random person/celeb I didn't know putting this up doh. This looks quite likely now then otherwise he is there as a punter

No probs, being there as a punter is possible too. I'd turn up for a cheesy Steps set now that someone else has admitted they would haha. Just add in S Club haha, I await being told to just attend 90s weekender....it's fairly cheap in all fairness.

DJ Hype - announced himself on his radio show, which someone then tweeted to me, which DJ Hype then liked.

Fantastic. Saw him headline The G Stage (remember that) in 2007. Was amazing.

As if the idea of Steps at Glastonbury is even being mildly entertained? Surely not?! (not a music snobbery comment, just an 'in what world' comment).

I could see them in a tiny tent or stage during an afternoon as novelty act, doing a kind of piss take of themselves. I can't really see them on one of the bigger stages, but you never know.

Avalon headliner? Just a stab in the dark.

dunno about headliner, might just be an Avalon 'novelty' act, a bit like when they had The Wombles?

If they did it (say) mid-afternoon, I reckon that field - not just the tent - would be rammed.

Couple of blues rock bands, Hymn for Her and Miraculous Mule confirmed by their booking agents.

Very strange way of confirmation but also Lucy Gallant, according to Bluesfest.

Again on the blues, the self proclaimed Dr. Blue will be there.

Finally, DJ Barely Legal has confirmed she will be there and I also found that confirmation in the normal circumstances before anyone says otherwise!

Hmmm.... who the fuck is she, then?

That article says she's played twice before, yet she's not in our database of 78,000 bands/acts.

Played Pussy Parlure the year before last. Don't know when else she's played.

    • Personal Trainer start a UK tour on 6 Sept and have featured a times. They were kind of there last year in the form of Long Fling (a great set in the Tipi). I could see them being a secret set in the Tipi again. I don’t remember the Bollox new name for the Tipi and never will.
    • If Shania Twain can fill the legend slot, Duran Duran and Annie Lennox absolutely can.

    • I too am always a bit blurred on what/who constitutes a legend slot but would Sting fit that bill?  Those there said his IoW slot was v good and he has enough of a songbook imo for a Sun afternoon if he uses the Police's 1st 2 albums for a fair chunk of it
