Four tickets per booking...

This ole chestnut has reared its head again!

Apparently the number of tickets per booking will be reduced from six to four this year.

Suppose it will make it a bit more fair

I wonder how many groups that go are bigger than 4 or 6 people, probably quite a few. Doubt they'll change it aga to four.

Web site still says this:

• You may book up to six tickets per transaction by paying a deposit of £50 per person when tickets go on sale (plus the coach fare, if you are booking a coach package).

'Apparently' a friend of my brother knows some guys from SeeTickets and has been told this.

Could be, probably is bull but who knows.

Group of 7 over here, but one of us has now got a guaranteed ticket through working, thought that'd alleviate the stress of having to get two groups through. What a bugger

Being part of a 10+ group each year we always relied on multiple people getting through, we've somehow managed to get everyone in the last 4 years but this news would cripple our chances I feel.
Luckily we have a secret weapon in the form of our group's Swedish contingent and their superior internet connections.

One consequence must be ticket day will take longer to sell out, unless they were to increase the processing capacity. If it is true...

Not yet. It's probably the 2nd but may be the 9th. It depends on how important the coach sale falling in September is for them, as it's possible this will have implications for the VAT payment date.

I used to know a few people who worked at See Tickets.

Generally speaking, their staff are told almost nothing about that kind of stuff until the public are (and not always then). The internal rumour mill there is probably even less reliable than anything written on here.

So unless the Festival say something, I'm pretty sure that it's 6 per order as usual.

I think 4 is fair.  I can understand the urge to restrict it further, but don't think that would really do anyone any favours and only lead to more complaints.

the fewer tickets they allow people to get in any one transaction, will just make the sight busier as these people once one will try again and again and again to get the same amount of tickets they normally get.

The reason see tickets say they don't anything about when sales are or how many tickets will be in secret sales etc is because they don't. Anyone who sells tickets on see gets their own Client login & can create their own sales pages & glasto is no different. glasto could sell them now & see tickets wouldn't know it was coming 

i imagine they do however keep in close contact because of demand and server loads etc where as most of their clients can just crack on

I think they should limit it to half a ticket, so you have to get through twice to get your ticket, 4 times for 2, 8 times for 4 etc.

Nice trip to Wembley for everyone with 1/2 a ticket at the Glastonbury Ticket Play off final 2017.
