David byrne please given up a long time ago on talking heads

Talking Heads were probably the first I ever saw at a Festival,. ok it was actually a one off gig at Ingliston (by Edinburgh airport), but there was camping. line up included Steel Pulse and the Undertones.  headliner was Van Morrison. Year was 1978.   A lifetime ago.

Jungle to return with a new album and headline WH please and thank you

don't see them headlining but i had em as a WH sub for this year when i thought they'd have a new album out, so i'll stick with that same guess for next year

subbing Lovebox is a reasonable slot given they didnt have an new music to share. I admit that im massively bias as their one of my very favourite current bands, but i would take a sub slot. That would be nice, Jungle into headliner straight into SE corner, Sunday night. Tremendous end to the fesitval

Seen Jungle twice live and thought they were ace both times. A prominent WH slot would suit me.

on the other stage on the friday afternoon of 2015 was truly one of the best non headline festival sets ive ever seen, it was joyous in every sense of the word

I thought it was friday, though I might be wrong. Yeah, they were ace then. Saw them at the 6 Music Festival in Gateshead a few month before and they were even better. The new album could do with being less 'samey' for want of a better word.

Diana Ross

John Legend

Bruno Mars

Izzy Bizu

Elton John

Wild Beasts

Django Django

Elbow

and obviously Led Zep for extreme wishful thinking purposes.

I put the Jodrell Bank live album of Elbow's on today after having not listened to anything by them in yonks. A band I keep on forgetting how much I enjoy.

Whether they are worth another sub-headliner slot on the Pyramid, I don't know. Other headliner against Daft Punk (if they play) for the 'real' music heads maybe. Not sure where to place them otherwise.

That  last Django album was a real disappointment after the 1st one which I loved.

I love them so much, they hold a special place for me as I walked down the aisle to One Day Like This at my wedding.

It's the age old question of what's the better slot... Pyramid sub or Other headliner?

I definitely think they will be there though, friends of the festival and new album and tour next year. Would be very surprised not to see them on the lineup.

aye their first album was fantastic. came out of nowhere and totally took me by surprise. second one was a big fat nothing

Yeah the second album just felt like a collection of rejects from the first album.

That said, I saw them at Latitude last year and the second album does come over much better live. They played a storming set... aside from the moment where the lead singer accidentally shouted "THANK YOU GLASTONBURY!!" and everybody booed.

    • RIP Roy Hattersley
    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
