Won't let me copy and paste for some reason, so I hope this is legible.

I think it's at least the same size, and probably bigger. Even if the bit south of the path is not family - and it looks to me like it is, as it doesn't have another label - the path has moved south/east enough to make up for the loss of the bit to the west.

I agree with you based on what we can see on the map, which is what makes me doubt the map's absolute accuracy. And there's usually some revisions down the line anyway.

It's not something that is going to affect most of us but anyone planning on camping there should bear it in mind.

It's pussy parlour that's moved isn't it?

It's definately gone. Hope  the blue circle is where it's moved to and not just the Gully being marked properly! Loved that place, have seen some really wired (mainly Japenese!) stuff in there over the years! Also is warm and dry and has seats and everything! :-)

Woodsies going is also going to put a bit more pressure on those western camping fields, could be a bit cosier in Pylon and Rivermead than it used to be.

Not sure the map is geographically correct enough to make such judgement.

Not only that, but -

A lot of the time, especially for the minor stuff like the precise layout of Arcadia, the map is reactive.. ie it represents changes that have already taken place. That front part of Row Mead was annexed into the Pyramid Field in 2013, and remained in 2014 - but that particular change didn't appear on the map until 2015.

I think if anyone is looking at that level of detail, then comparing with the 2015 map is pointless. Compare it to a 2015 aerial shot if you really want to see whether Arcadia has changed much.

The EE powerbar exchange remains , does this mean EE are going to relaunch the power bars ? or will it end up being a recharge tent ?!

I tweeted EE but they said they have no plans to relaunch the power bars, which is a shame because it worked really well

Having the two seperate soundstages really improved the Pyramid field last year I thought, so it'll be a shame if they've reverted back to one, although it was marked as only one on the 2015 map so who knows

This is the ducting to one of last years mixing desks & just visible in the distance is the bit of the field they levelled to construct the tent, so it looks like they're, thankfully, keeping the twin setup.

I bet that's just a mistake. Seems completely unnecessary otherwise.

It's a sign, probably something to do with Radiohead.

Hmm. Interesting that there are two 'EE powerbar exchanges' but nothing from EE yet.

Glad to have access to the wood (nature reserve) back though - remember that from back in the day and nice to be able to use that area again. Should it r*in (which it won't, natch) John Peel will be much easier to get to/from, perhaps?

thats my point , I remember reading that somewhere , so guessing that change will be on a later map version , its almost time that the recharge tents can vanish as im sure most have power banks or access to them these days dont they ?!

Assume it's the beer sign next to WK at the end of Hawkwell, but odd it's not named.

The one you're looking there at is the Mandela bar - the green and yellow tent which is on your right if youre looking at the pyramid stage.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
