I was looking at it wrong - it seems to have lost a bit of space. Surprising, and bad, news.

Plenty of time for map revisions.

It looks like the Spider itself is more central though? Which should mean more room either side than last year.

Ah yes. More space in Wicket Ground family camping, but they may not be of much interest if not a family.

Are you sure? They posted on FB the other day about having less space this year.

That was my initial reaction, but the problem with the previous layout wasn't the amount of room, so much as nobody would go round the other side. By putting the toilets on the far side, it looks as though they're trying to encourage more people to be naturally standing all round the tent.

But it does look more cramped.

Fired up Google Earth to check

area of old JP mesured up to where camping areas start = 13492m²

Area of new JP/ old cinema filed (excluding back stage area as marked on map) = 16583m²

With James Murphy being there and no doubt 2manydj's will be too, I was hoping there might be an extra tent that could turn out to be Despacio but it doesn't look like that's the case. Shame I had one of the best nights of my life in that tent.

There's a section below them that was hospitality but now looks like it's part of family. On the other hand, they've lost a patch to the west.

Yeah, I was just checking your gif (great work btw!) and it looks like they've got at least as much room. But they definitely posted that they were losing some space. Probably shouldn't be looking to this map for too much accuracy.

    • People seem to have got obsessed about 'secret sets' at all festivals this year even when there aren't any spaces other than, in EOTR's case, the usual late Folly sets that 90%+ of the time are from artists who are already playing.
    • To be fair @Superscally barely mentions the running thing. Very quiet about it 😘
    • I guess we'll just have to wait until videos of the shows go up, but the fact that the standing is also greyed out still suggests to me that those sections just sold out out before the others and a blue block just be like 3 tickets left, it's still not concrete proof they never went on sale and if they were never on sale why would they not make it even, if 414 wasn't on sale then you'd think 409 wouldn't be either
    • Selfish, but I've done the 2 days I'm there.. i'll try to do the rest through the day but might get beaten to it as it's editable....    https://clashfinder.com/s/ape2026/
    • I don’t think the festival automatically ‘need’ to have a female headliner if you have strong female headliners on the Other Stage (which I reckon will be Rosalia and Phoebe Bridgers), perhaps a female legend (praying for Annie, will take Cher), and a few female/mix gendered subs on the Pyramid (maybe London Grammar, The xx). From what I’ve seen of Sabrina, her team prioritises the pay day and I think she will be doing Wembley over Glasto weekend.   One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of the suggestions would be first time headliners and I can’t work out when the last time was that the festival had three artists top the bill that hadn’t topped it before? It seems to be something they like to do to make sure they have a ‘safe’ headliner that will land well with the masses. Plenty of names in that hat that could step back up next summer and should/could be about: Billie Eilish, Adele, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Radiohead, U2…hell, if Beyoncé is really planning to release a ‘rock n roll’ album to complete her Renaissance trilogy, Glastonbury would be a great place to ‘kick off’ that campaign for her.   And there’s always the Rihanna rumour. Her husband (I think) said this week she’s in the studio.
