New map!

Someone had a link from a food vendor saying they'd have two spots this year, the second being at a spot at a new 'fire pit area' near where JP either was or will be...

Any sign of much alteration to the markets?

It's definately gone. Hope  the blue circle is where it's moved to and not just the Gully being marked properly! Loved that place, have seen some really wired (mainly Japenese!) stuff in there over the years! Also is warm and dry and has seats and everything! :-)

In launching the lineup poster the official site says all 6 venues will return, although some of them will have moved. So Pussy Parlure is safe.

Love PP so glad it's safe.....hope they move it though as it felt a bit 'lost' where it was.....am sure people just walked past it without noticing it. Has a nice little bar inside too,

Now I've managed to get a ticket in the secret resale, my next favourite thing is the map, been avoiding this thread until now.

Im glad of the JP being a Hitchen Hiller will mean catching the early band in the JP won't be such a walk, hopefully they do a bit more with the are and a decent bar in there would be great.

Sad news. Been there since we moved behind the hedge in 2002 to avoid the early morning sunshine on the tent, the year New Bands/JP Tent moved too.

It was mostly the same people there every year and they were all lovely.

I'm sure wherever we end up now will be almost as good... :(

I feel for you.  I went through exactly the same thing when The Park converted from camping to The Park!  BUT.... it's then utterly brilliant if / when you bump into those people randomly!

Oooh! Here's a discussion we've not had on this board; which group are the bigger c**ts? Flags at stages, nos canister droppers, people who shout at snorers to shut up in the campsites? I'm going the latter, the other two are just inconsiderate, shouting at snorers is outright malicious.

Shouting at snorers is pointless.  If they can't hear there own mouth, they're not really going to hear the shoutee!!

I'm not sure if this has been posted, but NME posted an interactive map which shows the camping spots and whether they are lively or quiet http://www.nme.com/festivals/glastonburymap#3msOyQEQb5riB8EE.97

Interesting and pretty informative for those people who aren't total Glastonbury-geeks, but some of it a bit questionable - I think you'd be lucky to find space at the Pennards long before the Wednesday night cut-off it suggests.

... any sign of the more detailed map yet? I saw on Facebook a picture of one but it was too low res to see anything in detail.

I'm keen see how the new JP area plays out and if theres likely to be spill up the hill of the tents that used to be in woodsies... also if my walk round will be impacted by new fences etc

I'm envious of anyone who manages to get into a deep enough sleep to be able to snore at a festival. These people should be lauded, not targeted for abuse.

I recommend the best ear plugs. I find the wax ones from boots really good.

Do you mean the one with the gridlines across it?  Last year they didn't release the 2015 version before the festival - though there's usually hope nearer the festival that someone who's gone onsite early can upload a pic.  The 2015 one is now up though (obviously no help for new JP position): 2015-FINAL-ACCESS-MAP-v2.jpg

Not sure if I'm going mad, but what are the shuttle bus stops all about?!

If its the same as T in the Park, it'll be a staff/disabled camper bus route between stages/areas (i.e. not for the general public)

:) it's what the official site is calling 2015 - maybe they never properly updated it?  I wonder is there any background around them losing cartographers between years, or whether the same people are usually available to make the maps

Yes the shuttle bus runs from the disabled campsite  :)

    • Very different in terms of time of game,  yet remember how excited I was before the first game in Euro 2016 having grown up not sure I would ever see wales in an international tournament. That day scraped a win against Slovakia and was just happy to see wales score and win at a tournament, little did I know we would finish in the top 4. Hope Scottish fans get the same experience.
