Emily said April, so at worst we're probably looking at the end of next week.

I still reckon your earlier feeling of the 28th seems the most likely.

We're really not expecting an announcement today and if there was to be one we'd be caught completely off guard...

Well, I was right...even though I was going for some reverse psychology :P

I still think the Muse and Adele announcements were really bizarre. Goes to show they don't really care too much which day they announce, and it proves that an announcement will get all the necessary publicity regardless of when it comes.

debatable, several of my group didn't know about Muse until the following week. barely saw it reported anywhere. it was announced after most newspapers weekend editions had gone to print, and weekday online staff had clocked off for the weekend, and so barely got more than a small mention outside dedicated music places like NME etc.

Adele was obviously different because she's probably the biggest act in the world right now.

In fairness, I don't know if Muse headlining was that big news anyway, regardless of when it was announced :P

What publicity do they need though? It's already sold out. To be honest there are so already so many acts that I want to see id nearly be happy if they just left it as is, the clashes are going to be horrible!

'My birthday was on a Thursday this year.  The day Thursday is leaping out and speaking to me for the next Glasto announcement'

(When the announcement end up coming on a Monday)

'Of course. How could I have been so stupid. My pet Hamster died on a Monday. How did I miss such an obvious sign of fate'

 

Ps The announcement WILL be next Monday ;)

      Been going for 10 years. Wasn't massively keen on the lineup beforehand - although as usual after some research I did start to really look forward to it. We had a brilliant time, felt more like old school Latitude, lovely vibe and we met some nice people. We saw loads but highlights for me -   Lime Garden Florence Road Jalen Ngonda David Byrne - Not a fan of him or TH really but we went out of interest and it was one of those festival shows that you'll never forget. The staging was off the scale. Eleni Drake - Up on BBC Introducing, what a haven that stage is.  Westside Cowboy Getdown Services - Probably highlight of the weekend for me. Absolutely brilliant and have booked tix for them in Bristol next year. Everything Everything - They're my favourite band so I loved it when they were added. A great start to Sunday and met loads of their fans up near the front. Alex James Britpop - We enjoyed it and Gary Stringer FFS! David O'Doherty - Saw him twice, brilliant as usual. Self Esteem - Adore Rebecca and the show was as live affirming as always.   Overall, it was such a brilliant weekend. Beforehand we said that we might give it a miss next year but I'm pretty sure that we'll be sucked right back in!

      Me too.  Reckon they must have more this year.   Not bad is it - ended up paying same price as this year.  It still represents great value for me.  Well, until I check my bank account the Monday after the weekend.
