Hey, in fairness many of us have complained about the Pyramid being dominated by album sales etc. This would be a pleasant surprise as a Pyramid Sub.

it makes sense for album sales to heavily influence positioning. If people complain, its only cos famous people have more scope to be disliked, cos more people know them.

Weird that people seem to think it's somebody else's fault they haven't heard of D'Angelo. His last album was hugely critically acclaimed and there was a lot of buzz about his comeback.

I heard an interview which 6Music did with Emily at the time of the poster release, and Emily said that most of the acts have been booked for yonks, and in some cases before last year's festival. She also said that it was difficult to decide which names to put on the poster, and which not. I can only assume that he's only just been finalised, or not very happy about not being in the initial line up.

 

That interview is well worth a listen by the way. She goes on to say there will more line up announcements in April.
