Most recent satellite image (19:00 BST) shows more rain coming overnight, unclear til the morning how long it will last or how significant it will be, certainly nothing in comparison to either of the 2 main bands of rain, but it's the header of a long strip of moisture that's either going to roll along the channel or be pushed up into the west country by the warm air.  Nothing disastrous, but still not entirely in the clear.

No rain showing up on the Net Weather app rainfall video for the next 24 hours - do they use the same info?

Based on recent years I'd discount Norway now and focus on Met Office.

They have light rain shower Wed am and possibility of light rain shower Friday pm.

Not much sun, mainly cool with clouds.

Would take that in a heartbeat. Still time for it to change though - from this pint last year, it got suddenly worse for a day then suddenly better, then at the last minute decided that the worse scenario was the correct one.

Sounds almost identical to last year, which I am 100% on board with.

Is there a staple Norwegian beer? If so I'll drink it religiously at the festival.

My girlfriend is half Norwegian so been a few times. Can't really think of a specific Norwegian beer. They do drink a spirit called Aquavit. It's pretty ruff though. Would be far from plesant to drink warm Aquavut in the full swing of the festival! Gross.  https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akvavit

Aquavut....

That name brings back very, very messy memories....

Whatever anyone does at this years festival; do not.... I repeat... DO NOT!!! get far too excited on the Wednesday, smash down 6 pints of brothers and then attempt to drink 8 shots of this brutal drink in a row...

It will not end well....

id take this metcheck forecast anyday of the week.......rain every day but tiny tiny amounts(talking 0.1, 0.2mm mainly with the most being 1.1mm on the Sunday afternoon which is still a tiny amount) also Wednesday and Thursday coming up to a pleasant but not to hot 22/23 degrees http://www.metcheck.com/UK/today.asp?zipcode=Glastonbury&locationID=57455&lat=51.1&lon=-2.7&findtype=

Also at times not much cloud coverage (10% or less) that equals nice blue sky :)

Accuweather less optimisitc but the clickbait headline of this article

`It's inevitable: Rainy spells set to dampen Glastonbury 2016`

doesnt seem to match the report which states ` "There is a risk of the odd shower or two on Wednesday for the start of the festival, but overall, it does not look like a washout day," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Jason Nicholls said. `

"Brief showers are going to move into the area each day, but all of the heavy rain will miss Glastonbury to the east," Roys said.

With no washout expected during the weekend, spectators will be able to enjoy the weekend's big acts at the Pyramid Stage, including Adele and Coldplay. However, odd showers could muddy the grounds.

Throughout the week, some intervals of sunshine are possible, especially on Friday and Saturday. Any longer duration of sunshine could require sun cream.

This is starting to feel like the secret resale thread did when we were all looking for a pattern from the past, trying to work out what the small changes in the code on the ticket pages may mean, lots of contradictory ideas from lots of different sources and ending up with things happening in a way no one had predicted. I've only just recovered from that thread and now the weather and the forecasts are doing it at me!

this ones good as well....most importantly for the ground drying up forecasting no rain at all on the Tuesday and very little from Wednesday to Sunday (for the unknowing when sites say 0.1/0.2mm etc thats the kind of rain that feels like a tiny bit of spitting....youd barely feel it)

    • TOP 10 acts (top 5 in bold😞   Blood Orange (ciutat)   Guitarricadelafuente   Oklou - Looks like I'm capable of enjoying music in the rain after all, just not the whole night.   Rilo Kiley   The Cure   Jade   Depresión Sonora   Gelli Haha (Parc del Forum) - Her music never really clicked with me. Until I saw her live.   MARINA   Six Sex (ciutat) - I was shocked how supersmall the venue was and that almost everyone (except for me) knew every word of every song (including the ones that were released this weekend!).   Honorable mention:   Ashnikko - missed the first 15 minutes (because of Gelli Haha) and I'm not really a fan of her music, but the show was an absolute blast.
    • Totally agree about PinkPantheress stage choice. 'Luckily' for me, one of my main targets, fakemink, was absolutely awful, meaning that I left early and was in a surprisingly good spot at Cupra before it got totally packed.
    • As many said before, not my favourite Primavera. sh*tty weather is something I'm not really used to when enjoying music. Poor communication (more than 1 hour long radio silence during the worst rain) didn't help, but the main problem was me. I decided to leave the venue after things seemed to be getting back to normal. Massive Attack were supposed to play again (with Hymn of the Big Wheel back on the setlist!) as were all other artists on the smaller stages (including Fcukers with one my favourite albums of the year). FOMO was at an all-time high. However, after 4 hours in the rain, I had to admit to myself that I'm not cut out for this. I wasn't even that soaked (water-proof jacket worked). I was just fed up with the rain, wind and cold and wasn't able to enjoy music anymore.   Also, they should stop ignoring the growth of some artists between signing them up and their actual performance. Both PinkPantheress and Ninajirachi sets were ruined for me by completely inadequate stage choice.   However, I felt very much the same way after the 2022 edition and have thoroughly enjoyed all subsequent editions. So I'm still buying early bird tickets for 2027 and hoping this was a hiccup not the start of a downward trend.
    • I will definitely be buying a 2027 early bird pass, partially because of the priority reservation privileges for the Ciutat sets. Hopefully the organization will take action to improve upon this year's failings. Because I thought the free water options and sound quality were an improvement over last year, so clearly they can actually implement positive changes.   I also hope all the douchebag chompers get in the sea, cause I was more bothered by them than in the past few years.   Highlights: The Cure, Ninajirachi, Knocked Loose, Current 93, Blood Orange.
    • Similar feelings to a few others on here. Not my personal favourite edition but a long way from giving up on it. Felt overcrowded at times and there are just too many people there that don't seem to like music that much! Hardly went to main stages which was the plan. Highlights Ralphie Choo, rusowsky, Gorillaz, Geese, Gelli Haha, The Sophs, PinkPantheress, Dijon. Accommodation booked for next year. Thanks for your company and comments over the past year.
