He used to record most of the albums on his own and that didn't stop him touring, not sure why it's an issue now. Even the English Riviera was largely just him.

I've heard from someone close to Joseph that he won't be touring this record. Again, not sure how much truth is in this but that's what I've been told.

I also heard him say that on 6music.

I tried that Anohni album earlier but I had to give in after 3 or 4 tracks. Her voice was too much.

I quite like her voice.  It was the lyrics that did it for me... utterly dreadful.

In case you missed the new Super Furry Animals song, its utterly joyous, ridiculous and shits all over the Stone Roses' comeback effort

Not new as such, well not new at all but how have I missed out on Cut Copy down the years? Just listening to their stuff now. Have heard a few in passing but had no idea who they were. There are a few bands I have got into late and been gutted as it felt like I missed out on something. Can add Cut Copy to that list now.

I missed out on so much good music in the noughties and only just catching up with it all now.

Well new Wild Beasts is certainly different, I like it though. Not expecting them at all this year so hopefully they're back to play next year in a good slot.

Edit: I see they've announced a tour in October which seems to be on sale now, they're doing a couple of gigs in July too as well as well as the already announced 4 or 5 festivals.

Good god. I was never a big fan of Wild Beasts before. Thats one if the weirdest comebacks ive heard in a long, long time.

Also, who was it on here who highly rated The Hoteliers album Home, Like no place there is? That album was a phenomenal recommnedation. I thought id grown out of this kind of music but clearly i was wrong. I missed their recent UK tour but can see theyre dropping their new album friday. Cant wait for that.

Probably Floorfiller but I agree it's a top album.

Well that was unexpected. I like it, but am sad to see them move so far away from their original sound. I'm sure it'll do great things for them commercially. 'Get My Bang' though. What an awful off putting title

New Hotelier album is fantastic! Got wind of them because of somebody on here and that last album was definitely my most played of 2014

Great news! Ill try streaming it tonight. A belated thanks nonetheless. It was probably during my lurking days that i saw you and others talking entusiastically about it. Was immediately smitten with it. Recently put it back on and its still as brilliant.

New'un isn't quite as hook-filled and anthemic (no Your Deep Rest-esque huge choruses) but it's getting better with each listen. Sun is an early highlight for me
