Really like Paul Draper's new single. I'm a huge Mansun fan and hoped for a reunion at some point. Never say never, but it does look unlikely so a Paul Draper solo set on one of the smaller stages mid-afternoon would be very welcome

There's also a song called 'Obama' which, as you can imagine, has her throwing pretty heavy shade in Obama's direction. Lyrics are rather blunt at times but that's just her style really. Wasn't that excited for this but it's totally blown me away. The production by Hudson Mohawke and Oneohtrix Point Never is brilliant

Jesus. I was gonna say earlier that I hope the new Blakey album was out before Glastonbury but it's out at midnight tonight! Stealing Radiohead's thunder.

edit: oh and his collab with Bon Iver is called "I Need a Forest Fire". Erm...

Did you hear the new tune dental? I've only had one listen and I thought it was alright

I haven't, no. I don't tend to listen to more than one song before the album because I like to keep the first listen as fresh as possible. Gonna be a bunch of surprise collaborations on there too that we probably won't know beforehand.

had kind of lost interest in James Blake and wasn't too arsed about missing him, but those new songs are pretty great. the thought of seeing him live still doesn't really excite me but i've got a feeling i'll be a bit more sore about missing him after hearing this album

He was great when I saw him at Rock Werchter in 2013. It was like living in a tent full of bass. Was really strange, like feeling the music rather than hearing it. I can't find a way to describe that that doesn't sound pretentious as fuck, but yeah.

Not sure it'll be as good outdoors, however.

Half way through James Blake before I had to go to work. It's good but I find it hard to get too excited about. A few nice flourishes here and there but you can pretty much guess what it's gonna sound like

And yep had that Ahohni album on repeat. It's fantastic. 4 Degrees is such a tune

4 Degrees managed to completely wipe away all my fear about drone related nonsense. It's a monster of a track.
