Radiohead touring in 2016

Ahhhh! Everytime I see this thread is on fire I get over-excited thinking they've been announced!

With Radiohead releasing an album in the next few months, all their Festival appearances and Stanley uploading a photo working on the Glasto art (I know he does this all the time), it's inevitable they will be there in some shape or form.

I too lurked this glastonbury forum for roughly 2 glastonburys before speaking up. Ive used the site since i was 14 when going to my first Reading Festival in 2003. I used it to get my rumour fix from the "line up and rumour" page. It virtually never let me down. It was a much simpler time.

Then around 2011 i realised that i could bypass The rumours page and mainline the glasto rumours directly from this forum. I waited in the wings for a couple of years. It was like a mini soap opera. I genuinely treated the people on here as characters. "That russycarps, what will he say next!?!?!"

Then about a year and a half ago i decided i should stop the lurking and just speak up. It wasnt nearly as bad as i thought it would be.

I met a lurker in real life at Glastonbury last year. When I told him I posted here he asked me what I really thought of various posters (Russy first), very much like behind-the-scenes soap opera gossip.

So you should you big bully. It's people like you taht etc etc etc.

If you say 'two hats' quickly it sounds like 'twats'.

Therein lies the reason for his bullying ways.

It's either that or he's still in a massive fucking grump about a BAND playing the Legends Slot.

Think that's how most of us start. You make one post. Then a week later another. Then you may do 2 or 3 in a day. Noone replies. You have a week off sulking. You post again. Then you post every day for a week. You await your first insult from Russy. Before you know it, you're on here all hours reading fucking radiohead lists when you don't even really like radiohead.

Yeah. Why *are* you in here?!!! ;-)

If anyone fancies lots of replies to posts:

1. Argue politics with Neil.

2. Do Radiohead lists with Pablo Honey at No. 1.

3. Tell Russy you're a copper.

4. Mention you like moshing.

Your rep will be fucked but it's guaranteed discourse.

I I have had Hail to the Thief on pretty much constant rotation for the last week or so. Really been in the mood for Radiohead and I always find myself listening to this album.

Fave songs have changed though! I am now in love with 'Backdrifts' and 'Sit down, Stand up' moreso than ever and 'Myxomatosis' and 'There, There' have been demoted to 3rd and 4th.

Thats what I love about Radiohead. No 2 listens are ever the same.

Well, I've been debating putting my list here for a while but, what the heck, we can't all be the same so here goes:

1. The Bends

2. OK Computer

3. Pablo Honey

4. Amnesiac

5. Kid A

6. In Rainbows

7. Hail to the Thief

8. The King of Limbs (hardly listened to it at all)

Sorry folks. And I love "Anyone Can Play Guitar", "Vegetable" and "Creep".

There. I've said it. Publicly.

Heeey, now I'm being bullied!  You can't bully me, I have over 8000 posts and I appreciate The King Of Limbs more than anyone else.  It's not fair.

Bloody legend slot...

I think a lot of hardcore fans bonded to the original live version of Videotape over the recorded version.  It's not that the recorded version is bad, it fits the album. I just baby ducked onto the first one.

Yup nailed it. The live version pre-In Rainbows release was a bit more ... momentous. But I agree the subdued version does fit the album better. They can do no wrong!

How strong are the drugs you take, and will you be taking any to Glastonbury?

    • The basement, deafheaven, Mannequin pussy clash is v annoying. Also not sure why pinkpantheress is in the tent, surely going to be ramos.
    • It's just this:   Search up which orgs are currently in Tufton St, funded by Koch Brothers, Robert Mercer, and Matthew Elliot.   It's moved on from "Vote Leave" and "Leave Means Leave" into the lobbyists against net zero. It's the same funding from the same people in the same place lobbying our media and politicians.
    • Debut album from Haiver (ex Frightened Rabbit's Billy Kennedy band) is an absolutely gorgeous thing. If you're a fan of FR then you'll probably like it. Definitely a contender for album of the year for me.
    • The tickets for the back at Muse, did go on sale. I know because I bought tickets there because they were the cheapest. All in with fee's, I got tickets at £81.20 each.   So likely, sold out quickly for those wanting the cheapest tickets. Either that or sold poorly and they took them off sale and when I turn up they offer me paper ticket upgrades because they closed the back.
    • She's headlining Reading and Leeds. Not to be sniffed at. She's also done her substantial arena tour since last time.    I think she's a decent bet to do it.
