Speaking of Dylan, anyone heard the new 'Bootleg Series'? It's an exhaustive look at the golden era (IMO) - '65-66. It's almost all pure gold (18 CDs worth, no less) - some raucous stuff on it. It's an absolute treasure-trove as he never recorded the same song the same way twice while he was in the studio. One take was vastly difference to the next. Kind of explains why he is what he is when you see him live.

Random thought... McCartney?

Not been rumoured, Eavis said he's keen to return, seems the sort who would do it for a laugh...

I think someone said that Eavis said a couple of years ago that he thinks his voice is shot, so people assumed he wouldnt be considered again.

Would be a shame if this is the case as recent reports are that his voice is fine.

But Eavis also said last week that Macca was keen to return. Don't think he'd say that if he never planned to consider him again. Heard his O2 gigs last year were good. Loved 2004 and would happily see him again.

If Macca is sensible, he'd do the Legends slot. It would be huge for the festival and the only way for them to top the last couple of years in terms of artist and song recognition, and it would be great for McCartney because he could prove to a huge audience that his voice isn't shot in the way that so many people think it is.
