thetime
Everyone should know what Costa is like now, if you fall for it then that's your stupid fault. More weak stuff from the arsenal.
thetime
Also what's happened to Sanchez, missing in action again. Ozil?
Gucci Piggy
Yeah Gabriel was an idiot. Doesn't mean we shouldn't address the fact that Costa's scum. If Terry hurled racist abuse at someone next week we wouldn't just say "Oh well, that's John Terry for you!" Also the complaint isn't that he got Arsenal a red by being a scumbag, it's that he does what he does and stays on pitch. Gabriel's red was 100% deserved. Sanchez hasn't turned up in any big game since he joined.
DomDom1984
Diego Costa is a permaraging cheating mess of a man.

Whilst you are correct that Gabriel's red was deserved, he would have struggled to commit the second offence if Costa had been sent off as he should have been. zahidf
Crystal palace managed Costa last week by not giving into him. Gabriel was naive to a degree. Sanchez was rushed back early. I reckon he will be back to his best in a few games.

kaosmark2
The big match aside, I'm utterly gutted at how much we've fucked up. Our results up until now were difficult games, forgiveable, but at home to Watford? In isolation that's excusable, but it's getting to the point where not having a win is seriously worrying news. For all our incoming attacking players, we're still struggling to score, and while Mbemba is a definite improvement in defence, we still need work done there. pink_triangle
And that's relevant because... People go into games knowing what type of player he is, you have to be strong and not fall into his trap.
thetime
People go into games knowing what type of player he is, you have to be strong and not fall into his trap. Spot on, of course it's relevant. Players know what Costa is like, same way players knew what buttons to press on Suarez/Cantona/Keane etc etc. If players are naive enough to be wound up by Costa's antics more fool them. I do love Costa though. Edited September 19, 2015 by thetime
Gucci Piggy
Isn't that more of a Wenger issue? True, but it does make it an odd time to bring up Sanchez's lack of form Should have done better with his chance, though. He'd have buried that last season. Gucci Piggy
2nd season syndrome? Meh, just think he needs a rest. Problem is that supposedly when offered one he always says he wants to play. He obviously had the Copa America so hasn't had the Summmer off. Was never going to do as well as last season, though. Desperately needs a goal as well.

Celery
Loved the game today and all the Arsenal fans throwing their toys out the pram. Yes, Costa should have been off but the Arsenal players showed complete naivety in the way they dealt with him. Played right into his hands and got what they deserved. Diddly squat. We were there for the taking and, unlike Palace & Swansea, they sat back and tried to catch us on the break instead of having a proper go. Ozil is a real magician - performed a 90min disappearing act!

Ozil is a real magician - performed a 90min disappearing act! The thing I was most annoyed by was arsenals complete lack of fight. I was pleased with Gabriel's reaction up until the the kick out. But where was koscielny? Or Cazorla as captain? And in the second half i wanted to see a couple of hard challenges on Costa. But nothing, we don't have the likes of that in our team anymore, we are too nice. Costa is the perfect player for Chelsea though, the fans love a scumbag. Maybe theres a correlation between the the class of an average Chelsea fan and the class of their players
