This deserves a David Attenborough narration…

”and so, the monolith falls. As those tasked with her dismemberment enact their solemn duty, there remains a quiet dignity in her role as she fades. Though this carnage will take her from these fields, her brief time here will live on in the memories of the 2019 ticket holders.”

It is actually pretty mental really that they moved a ginormous crane 30 miles from the docks, stuck it up in a field in the middle of nowhere, swung a moon about with it for 5 minutes and held a huge rave underneath it.

(then painted it green then pushed it over then cut it to pieces)

The trees the fence has just reappeared from would seem a great jump-over point.

Pretty sure that's the main security gate at the bottom of Worthy View steps/top of Pennard Hill.

I friend tried it from that point (well slightly further to left) but said the watch tower nearby seemed to have heat seeking devices as they shouted out at him even though it was pitch dark..

This made me actual lol.

Humans are the most complicated species on Earth.

As soon as they pushed it over it was never going to be carefully taken away.
They’ll probably get a few quid for it down the local scrapies

If they can get it off site past Joe Rush

That gate is just to the right of the stone circle field next to the strummerville entrance., behind the trees near to some very decent longdrops

You mean thermal vision. If they had heat seeking devices then that’s a whole lot of worry for would be fence jumpers

    • Yesterday was was Primavera is all about and a reminder of why I come back every year. I saw 9 acts, very diverse in terms of genre and vibe, and most of them were great.  Highlights:   The Cure - have wanted to see them for years. Finally caught them and it was immaculate. Robert Smith's vocals at his age are incredible. The band sounded exactly like the albums which is impressive. 2.5 hours with basically no filler somehow.  Viagra Boys - what a front man! So much energy. Non stop moshing. Sound was great, vibe was top notch. Again 10/10 for me.  Rilo Kiley - basically what pipan said. Not a huge crowd but nice vibe, good sound. Different from the other acts I saw.   I also enjoyed the late night electronic stuff with Aurora Halal and KI/KI being fun. Caught some of Skrillex before Aurora Halal and it was cool in it's own way but not really my thing so we left.
    • Dream Blink day    Blink - Turnstile - Neck Deep - The Story So Far
    • The vibe for Avalanches was spectacular, but i totally understand not wanting to wait in a queue for however long it was.   I had to miss Ethel Cain to queue. Bit annoying, but I had never seen the Avalanches before (either live or DJ set) and it was every bit as joyful as I hoped.   Great little stage, either way.
