No sorry I do just mean the frame..  wasn’t sure how to term it.  Mind you if it’s new wider screens that wrap to the edges we might see them up earlier than Thursday 23rd

Trussing / Rigging would be the words I'd use.

Ah I see. I don’t think it’s the right frame for a wrap… my guess is they are larger but still suspended.

One thing for certain, the screen can’t hang between the supports anymore due to the additional column. So as it must be mounted in front it could in theory be considerably larger than before.

So we’re gonna have to wait another 7 weeks to find out just how big it really is!

2019 image helpfully provided by @leath02, yellow an overlay of this morning’s erection together with the pyramid:

The perspective isn’t a 100% match but the rigging towers don’t appear to be wider. 🙁

As @Junglist1981 says though the central support is definitely new, so maybe bigger screens mounted on the front v hanging between? We shall see!

Nothing to say screens couldn’t be bigger than the frame tho, so the third leg could be a centre mount

Yeah totally - if the screens are bigger and front mounted then they will put a greater tipping moment through the frame - which maybe is why they need that extra supporting truss.

Something will be different at any rate 🙂

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
