Been watching the dismantle. Depressing. Going to visit the site in a few months though and have a wander. Bring back some memories

Going at some pace mind, incredible what they've already cleared in 5 days.

I wondered this myself. Surely they won't take it all down? They didn't even finish it until late on the Wednesday!

I think it'll all come down. Looks to be coming down already infact.

Is what’s left of Pangea staying, though? Looks like that crew have left already.

Yep, looks like whats left is staying....and they have covered it in green stuff to make it blend in???

I think they call that stuff "paint" ?

Ha! - yes, I wasn't sure if paint or foliage/webbing - hence the "stuff"

Glorious, isn't it? There's something quite therapeutic about seeing it all turn back to nature.

Yep still check in each day.  One thing I never realised was how many backup generators the site uses - the pile by the pyramid is aboslutely nuts.

    • Personal preference is irrelevant. With that level of hype, the only slot that makes sense crowd management-wise is Woods headline.    They were shifted late on just before The Great Escape from Thurs to Weds. A bunch of people on day tickets missed out, but even factoring that in TGE still had to close off their big tent with PLENTY of time before the set starting.    That kind of music doesn't translate well for me for spaces bigger than the Tipi but that's just my own preference.
    • If a band has enormous demand you don't put it on a stage too small to contain the people that want to see them, it simply boils down to that!
    • yeah, they commit to 3%, and then 3.5%, of GDP on defence...and then when comes down to it they don't know how to or want to make whatever trade off to fund it, so fall short. It's just Starmer all over, a bit flipping useless really. Either make some cuts somewhere else, or stick up taxes, or borrow more...it's as simple as that. If not willing to do any of that then stop making commitments you can't meet. Anyway, surely this is it for Starmer. That resignation letter doesn't hold back.
    • was talking to my old man yesterday and he was telling me similar about Starmers choices on defence , hes talking the talk but not doing the walk and we are at massive risk .... actually the previous Tory minister did better for Ukraine but probably because Healy had been held back by Starmer
    • AdP are just a novelty act and as such should barely be headlining The Folly let alone Garden or Woods.  Discuss...
