Is the farm ofiicially closed to the public now?

Yep... tweeted yesterday(?) that the site is now a building site and is therefore closed to visitors.

I can't spot this, where about is this happening?

I think they mean this but it's not the fence exactly but the track which goes around the site.

Could call it the fence though as it's the old one laid flat!

I assumed they meant what looks like panels laid flat, over to the far right hand side of the picture.

Ahhh brilliant, I see it now cheers! I'm going to have to pop over to the area one of the coming weekends, even if it's just to see what is looks like from the Tor and pick up some local cider!

Did you get your ticket in the resale last year Ben? Was trying to remember when your Glastonbury excitement went in to overload.

Was last year your first year? :P

And just 10 minutes later

Wowsers!

And ironic that they start this immediately after the nicest 4-5 days of the year so far!

That's good, tbh. Bad dress rehearsal, good first night as they sat in ThespianVille.

This can, clearly, only mean that the festival will be wall to wall weather loveliness!

I was about to say something very similar. Sods law the weather when they actually come to put the skin on is horrific.

Fair play to them all though. I can't imagine working in this weather down on the farm is very pleasant!

    • If the below link works - thats interesting.   While I don't particularly put much stock in that account as a source (never seen it before though, tbf), and I can pick a hole or two (see below) in what he says - the timing of it is a week before I had the Fontaines '27 stadium info (same stadium he says on there, Tottenham). The info, or part of it, matches up.   Holes I'd pick: I'd have to watch again but I THINK he says 'end of year' for Tottenham - not possible, for a number of reasons, though he's probably just got his words mixed up there. It's Summer '27. He also says Glastonbury is/would be based on how the album does. That doesn't stack up to me, unless it was a 2028 thing. I suppose that could stack up, but still seems a bit of an odd approach. I would personally still expect it to be 2027 alongside the stadium gigs, IF they are gonna do it, though I've still not got a Scooby when the album is gonna drop, only that the tour is due for Spring (or early) next year.   Interesting, nonetheless.   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaOB3Q9qkwW/
    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
    • I'm definitely not camping 🙂.  My 17 year old Daughter and her friends are there 3 days and commuting back to Sheffield each day as didn't want to camp .  I am taking and picking up the Saturday so thought I may as well get a ticket as love Fontaines DC - need to do a lot of research on the other acts though to fill my day.    I walked through the camp site other year the day Arctic Monkeys played and it was like a War Zone.  My Son has camped a couple of times but didn't fancy my Daughter staying over.
