Hey I said the wombats...

+ aren't stereophonics at a similar level of popularity as the Kaiser Chiefs? Correct me if I'm wrong

Maybe, but you're forgetting the context.. Namely that Kaiser Chiefs were already playing the John Peel Tent that weekend.

Are people actually being serious? The strokes, Blur..... It's much more likely (if it even happens) to be a razorlight (they've reformed right?) or bloc party.

it's a deal (though come to think of it Franz Ferdinand are quite likely)

Id say Franz are highly unlikely given that they are playing in France that day

Edit: yes, this is old news

It's like the hype for secret sets at the Park. Ludicrous rumours of acts and then it ends up being the klaxons. The fact that the 2 final secret sets WERE mega acts only made it so they couldn't do that any more.

I think the slot is traditional now, as it's replaced the Park sets for h+s reasons. Expect someone who is sort of alright, but a bit past it.

It's the klaxons then.

i reckon The Libertines. yes they're much bigger than the previous acts announced, but they're just the one who keep popping in to my head. it'll probably be somebody far less impressive, or even somebody disappointingly already on the bill like last year - Clean Bandit or something

    • Yesterday was was Primavera is all about and a reminder of why I come back every year. I saw 9 acts, very diverse in terms of genre and vibe, and most of them were great.  Highlights:   The Cure - have wanted to see them for years. Finally caught them and it was immaculate. Robert Smith's vocals at his age are incredible. The band sounded exactly like the albums which is impressive. 2.5 hours with basically no filler somehow.  Viagra Boys - what a front man! So much energy. Non stop moshing. Sound was great, vibe was top notch. Again 10/10 for me.  Rilo Kiley - basically what pipan said. Not a huge crowd but nice vibe, good sound. Different from the other acts I saw.   I also enjoyed the late night electronic stuff with Aurora Halal and KI/KI being fun. Caught some of Skrillex before Aurora Halal and it was cool in it's own way but not really my thing so we left.
    • Dream Blink day    Blink - Turnstile - Neck Deep - The Story So Far
    • The vibe for Avalanches was spectacular, but i totally understand not wanting to wait in a queue for however long it was.   I had to miss Ethel Cain to queue. Bit annoying, but I had never seen the Avalanches before (either live or DJ set) and it was every bit as joyful as I hoped.   Great little stage, either way.
    • The Smashing Pumpkins are also a shout
