It was yesterday's paper that said there were rumours of that wasn't it? The one that also stated ELO, seemingly prompting an announcement?

I don't think it really means anything. He probably just scanned the newspaper yesterday to get some topics for his show. I highly doubt he's scouring forums like these and seeing the fact that FF are taking a break.

I'm not sure, someone on here said they thought that paper was from months back but had only just been posted on Glasto Chat. No idea myself.

Coldplay have just been announced as headliner for Radio 1's big  weekend, fingers crossed this means they're not at Glastonbury

Coldplay, chase & status, ellie goulding, craig david and bring me the horizon to play R1 Big Weekend.

We had overlap last year, makes me think coldplay could announce this week. I'd like to be convinced this means they won't play though

Unfortunately Foo Fighters were listed as a headliner for Big Weekend last year, so there's precedent already for overlap.

I think Coldplay are nailed on, but just out of curiosity does anyone know how often headliners are shared between the Big Weekend and Glastonbury? Last year Foo Fighters were obviously scheduled for both so I guess at the very least there's recent precedent for it. I can imagine they wouldn't want to get into the habit of sharing headliners with Radio 1 though.
