Seeing her support Shakey two weeks before. Never got into her. Wasn't impressed on pyramid but think maybe it was the wrong setting for her. Plus was sat exhausted near a load of chatters on their blankets so wasn't listening properly.

Haven't got tickets but will try to see that tour in Dubland.

Marling is ace. Really.

Massive fan and I wasn't particularly impressed on the pyramid either. Definitely the wrong setting.

Pyramid performance last year was a bit flat. Better a few fields across later on though.

Ah right. Yeah, I preferred Courtney in the JP the year before but still enjoyed her on the Pyramid.

Laura Marling's sound just drifted across the Pyramid field with no one seemingly paying too much attention. A victim of the wrong stage and the Sunday Pyramid crowd.

I didn't know anything by her prior to it so I dunno if that changes anything but a few of her fans on here didn't seem impressed. I only saw the pyramid but enjoyed. Is my memory right that waterboys were straight after or before. Biggest surprise of weekend for me that as to how good they were.

Mate the Waterboys was a treat! Like you I was also surprised. They sounded *wonderful*.

In fact, yeah, there's something linking all 3 of the artists i saw on the Pyramid last year. In a world of increasing production values, effects, carefully timed visuals and synchronised performances on the main stage, CB, the Waterboys and Patti Smith all nailed it with some spontaneous freewheeling notgivingafuckery.

Waterboys were the biggest surprise of the weekend for me. I'd written them off years ago, but they really were superb.

The Waterboys are an enduring favourite of mine, so got down the front.  They were good and I am glad others enjoyed the set too.  What was amazing was the huge rush of people pouring in as soon as they finished to see George Ezra.  If only they had of got there earlier, they could have seen sone real talent.

    • Hope they skip the fireworks and the burning of the man this year tbh, seemed dodgy last year with all the reports of embers and this year is drier. Don't want to be a killjoy but it's only a big bonfire at the end of the day.    May also need extra care with BBQ and gas stoves etc, always worries me slightly in the campervan field where vans are very very close together!    Not had campervan pass in the mail yet either.   Looking forward to the beer festival and enjoying a few pints while taking in some mellow tunes in the walled garden if the sun carries on shining like this 😎
    • Haha yeah maybe not the best comparison as Gavin seems a good lad. It was to express how he's usually spot-on with his information
    • Ah then yeah one of them has gotta be a very strong chance.
    • I think there could, repeat COULD, be some truth to this Madonna stuff, re BST and no Glastonbury.   Think it's demands around stage/production stuff.
    • Yes sorry for delay in replying! I'll message you when I put it on there. I think it goes live next week
