Hahaha they're not even usually from here, they just flock up here for said hen/stag do's.

Indeed had the same in Bournemouth tbf, even the SU put up its prices beyond getting hammered for 20 quid on a Saturday night.

Our SU is the only place students go out for a full night out on a Saturday. Unfortunately it's fucking terrible; more expensive than the actual clubs and just plays shite singalong stuff like Busted and Blink-182.

I've been up half the night with my 10 week old daughter...

...and didn't even have the malignant joy of the efestivals forums to turn to due to 'maintenance'. Had to read about Ancient Romans slaughtering helpless Christians to cheer myself up.

They didn't do themselves any favours with their ridiculous pious monotheism, but they did build very pretty secret underground churches. So fair play to being burnt alive as garden party lighting.

I'm sat here in a lake of piss and tears

Not quite destroying the stereotype of radiohead fans there, Russy. It's all grist to the Nal's mill.

Finally got round to watching the clip.  She does say, "I think it's best if I stay away."  But she also says, "I WILL shit myself..."

Hmmmmm........

Yeah they random words as she said she'll be there anyway as she always is.....so her being there last year was no big thing.

I spent yesterday afternoon in a pub in Islington watching the rugby (I don't even care about rugby it was just an excuse to go the pub with my mates) before returning home around 9-ish and watching Trainwreck with Mrs Jass. A film I had hoped would be edgy and showed promise for the first 15-20 minutes before devolving into bog-standard romantic comedy fare.

    • Annie Lennox could be the one to unite the whole forum, nobody has a bad word to say about her, even noted curmudgeon Skip 😄 I'd probably even amble along for a bit meself, and i'm also a miserable sod
    • If the below link works - thats interesting.   While I don't particularly put much stock in that account as a source (never seen it before though, tbf), and I can pick a hole or two (see below) in what he says - the timing of it is a week before I had the Fontaines '27 stadium info (same stadium he says on there, Tottenham). The info, or part of it, matches up.   Holes I'd pick: I'd have to watch again but I THINK he says 'end of year' for Tottenham - not possible, for a number of reasons, though he's probably just got his words mixed up there. It's Summer '27, or that's what I've been told. He also says Glastonbury is/would be based on how the album does. That doesn't stack up to me, unless it was a 2028 thing. I suppose that could stack up, but still seems a bit of an odd approach. I would personally still expect it to be 2027 alongside the stadium gigs, IF they are gonna do it, though I've still not got a Scooby when the album is gonna drop, only that the tour is due for Spring (or early) next year.   Interesting, nonetheless.   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaOB3Q9qkwW/
    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
