i heard that from Mr Flow, who I know from the past has access to good info.

I don't know if his info is good this time or not.

Yeah I'm not 100% sure I believe the info I received this time either. If it's a red herring, I can only apologise.

I'll see if I can do some more digging.

I heard from an excellent source that they'd be no big announcement this week, but some area announcements instead.

Separately, I heard The Glade would be today, which I don't know to be true, but I do know it's come from someone who gets good info so I class it as more likely to be true than not.

What can we expect from an announcement from The Glade then?

The Glade posted yesterday it would be next week.

Out of interest .. Who were the 'biggest' acts who were announced in the full line up that weren't on the initial poster last year?

Someone put some effort in and posted this somewhere on the forum, not sure if it was in this thread or another. It was quite surprising how many were missing from the original poster.

Metallica, Haim, Bombay Bicycle Club, White Lies, Sam Smith, The Horrors - that's just with a quick look at the other stage. Plenty more across the other stages too and most of Silver Hayes

There's also about 20 fewer names on the original poster this year.

While we have no announcement, this dorky thing deserves posting, but not in its own thread; which music festival are you?

http://www.theguardian.com/music/2015/may/19/which-music-festival-are-you-personality-quiz

I got Glastonbury! Thought I'd be Latitude, obviously I don't know myself as well as the multiple-choice oracle does.

Am I being blind/stupid or is my computer at work not showing something - can't see anywhere to actually click to take the quiz?

Trying to kill time at work and so far I've spent 15 minutes trying to start the quiz.

That's interesting .... Thanks for this.

Looks like there are still some big names to come then!

I don't quite know why I was so pleased to come out as Glastonbury...maybe because this year will be my first and, during the months of reading since finally deciding that after years of saying it wasn't 'my' festival, that maybe it is, I have come to think that I may struggle to want to go to any of my previous favourite festivals once I have experienced GF.

Anyway, I was a bit pleased, and I genuinely answered their (sometimes a bit stoopid) questions accurately. Man, I must be cool...

I think there's LOTS to come for me, st dan. I think that the fill-in announcement for JPT, Park, WH, Other, Pyramid, plus Glade etc. is likely to produce more for me than I have in the must/would-see list already...and I already have a lot!

I'm expecting lots of bands of the Everything Everything 'size' (including themselves...) to be announced, sending me into 'smaller' band clashmageddon.

So, recap from anyone on when this announcement might be made?

Next Wednesday (27th) seems to make sense - 4 weeks before the festival starts - or Monday 25th a month before.

I will grumpily maintain that whichever of those two it might (or, as we have so painfully learned, might not) be, it's still far too late!

I'm foolishly still hoping that the 'big' poster with all main stages plus Glade etc, that there has been every year for ages, will appear tonight, prior to the full, full announcement, followed by ful, full with times.
