that's the Corporate VIP side. The peasants including myself were over the other side making a huge atmosphere. I think Damon looked very emotional at the end of For Tomorrow.

Thats good then :) Sad I didn't catch them at any of these UK gigs, hopefully do an arena tour or reform again in the near future.

I had a fucking great time. I paid 2.50 for my tickets and I'm pretty certain I'm never gonna get value for money like that again in my life.

Crowd control was truly bizarre, as shown by that picture

I was within the barrier, and slightly stage left with plenty of room to dance. I must have been one of the last few through the weird system (which was like the entrance to the Naughty Corner) as I looked back as Blur came on and a whole crowd were being held back by security

Nice warmup for next week for sure. My feet are aching now but they'll be oh so strong come Wednesday

It was carnage for the Libs last year, people were heading for the open spaces they could see which turned out to be fenced off VIP bits causing all sorts of crushing and agro.

Any chance of donating a little extra to teenage cancer trust for the privilege or am I being a bit cheeky?

I slipped a tenner its way seperately after i'd got them. I'm just shouting about 2.50 to make it sound more impressive!

Wonder how many of you I was stood right next to and you didn't even realise :D

I am actually dead after this gig though, has made me a bit worried for glasto considering this is effectively (three bands and a headliner) and my legs are gone!

If you are the welsh bloke then no you will not beat England in the RWC. If you're the Gills fan, no you don't have a hope next season. If you're neither of those, maybe I will meet you at Glasto.

Just got home. I was quite far back (next to pylon 8) but the sound was pretty good. Thought Blur were good, not gonna lie I've seen them better in the past but enjoyed it a lot. Was great to hear some oldies I hadn't seen them do before - Thought of Cars, Message Centre, Stereotypes.

Glad everyone had a great time - cheers for sorting my mate out LaLaLand :D

Wow, that was unbelievable. Definitely gone straight in to my top 10 gigs - don't think I've ever sung and danced so much in my life! Thought the sound & atmosphere was cracking in the front pit, although I was kinda disappointed I Broadcast and Message Centre didn't get a better reception  :umbrage: I must have been the only person dancing to I Broadcast within a 10 meter radius!

Got nice & wet during Metronomy but dried up quick enough once Blur were on and we were jumping around. Just got home and am lying in bed still buzzing.

    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
