Camelphat and bibi are probably enough of that style for team love, for silver hayes. You’d need glade or arcadia to come in for the likes of topping and hemsley. They’ll get in another year.

Yeah for sure, both are out anyways for this year based on the info. Patrick was only there last year too, and did multiple sets. Bibi, Camelphat, McVicar etc will keep that crowd happy.

Enjoying the sounds of Ben Bohmer. Any recommendations from the line up that are similar?

There is never too much Anjunadeep (deep melodic house) vibes at Glastobury. We've been crying out for more for years!  Last year was the first DJ I can remember who's been associated with the label, that was Franky Wah although he's moved on to his own label now it seems and his music gets a bit more upbeat. I haven't seen anything else. Partly the issue is that they host their own festival a week before, where all their DJs play, think it's in Albania. Looks amazing, but never made it there with Glastonbury the week after.

Seeing all the hype I just watched a Four Tet x Fred Again.. x Skrillex video on YouTube in NY as couldn’t find Cochella one. I really don’t get why this is so popular it reminded me of late 90s commercial house that was on everywhere when I used to go out as a teenager. Not trying to sound negative as obviously lots of people are into it but that’s one I’ll certainly be missing at the farm (and I am a fan of Four Tet having seen him a few times doing quite different things)

With you 100%, Barney.

It's perfectly pleasant, generic housey stuff. I too fail to understand quite why the hype is so huge. I think it's probably off the back of FA becoming such a phenomenon (a topic for a separate discussion!), Skrillex becoming sort of relevant again after a while, and the excitement that the concept of a DJ 'supergroup' can create.

It's fairly easily consumed generic dance music = POPULAR!

I'd rather see a "pure" Four Tet dj set for the music but I did go to 2 of the London b3b shows and they were a lot of fun. Full of stupid moments with extremely commercial music.

I'd go to the b3b on Arcadia assuming it's at the right time for me clash-wise but I'll absolutely be leaving my brain outside the field for it.

Yeah I watched the Coachella live stream this morning while I was getting ready for work, music wise it was absolutely not my cup of tea at all, I was just left mostly thinking how Skrillex would be a nightmare to go B2B with as he is always fannying about on the mixer when someone else is trying to play.

As Aiden alludes to above, musicality is probably not the audiences key motivations when going to watch those 3 play together, it feels very much like the sort of thing people feel the need to be at and to experience, rather than enjoy the music. Which is broadly why I think the Fred Again star will burn brightly but for a relatively short period of time, once the dust settles on this last 12 months it will be interesting to see where he sits in the scene.

Four Tet plays a ton of sets every year at glasto - and likely will do again this year.

Fred Again has a decent back catalogue now, he's going to be big for a while.

Anyone spotted any decent line ups across Europe? Been out of the loop after putting all my focus into the Glasto resale and now we're looking for alternatives.

Did Straf Werk in Amsterdam last year but not too keen on the line up this year.

He's doing a set b2b with Shadow Child. From what I can see, they play old skool 90's rave.

Ben

Oh, hello.

(But remember, I'm still at the getting excited at everything stage!)

Sensor festival in Armenia looks incredible, line up too. Meadows in the mountain has been on my list for a while, friends who have been say its not to be missed. Waking Life Festival in Portugal looks a lot of fun, pretty underground line up though. ION, Kala and Siso Festival all look equally as good on the Alabanian coast. My girlfriend worked for Kala and ION last year and said the setting is something else. Nostromo Festival near Paris is another which is on my list, line up for that one is probably my favourite.

I don't think his back catalogue will have much of an impact on how long he's big for personally. His star will burn very bright but for a short period of time in IMHO.

I think when dance acts get to the other headline kind of size they seem to stick around for a good while. Can't see him dropping off massively for a while yet.

Coachella set is all over my FYP, I reckon they could easily headline Glastonbury this year and get a huge crowd. I've paid zero attention to who's on where yet but hopefully Fred is somewhere outdoors

Four Tet usually does a few sets. Hopefully he’ll sneak in one by himself at some point.

It depends on how well his set goes and his next album.  If they are both great then the hype machine will  continue, justifiably so if he manages to do both.

If his next album is quite middling, then he'll go the same route as Disclosure and/or  focus on producing other people.

Disclosure are still a big act. Glastonbury headliner no but they are still a festival headliner in the UK for pretty much everywhere else.

What you quoted was in reply to the idea of him fading a lot more than to disclosure size

It is a while since i have been to Glasto (not since 2011) are any of the old perennial Glasto electronic outfits from the 90s still likely to be there? I'm thinking Eat Static, Simon Posford, Raja Ram, Banco de Gaia, System 7 etc.

I'm hoping (praying) Dreadzone will be as they are always quality live and are on tour now.

I realise this may be a daft question as many of them might have been there nearly every year since I last was!

    • My daughter had a really disappointing arrival experience at Download Festival 2026. After arriving by coach, she waited hours for transport, she was taken to the wrong place twice, then left waiting again because shuttles refused her without wristbands, even though she hadn’t been taken to the wristband point. Staff seemed unprepared and unhelpful, and the delay caused a serious pain flare-up for her and meant refrigerated medication could no longer be used. The tent is now leaking too due to someone breaking it. We’ve emailed a complaint and are asking Download to acknowledge what happened and make it right.
    • That said they're playing the festival on the Friday and need to play Manchester Psych Fest the next day.    Could they play late at night and still make it comfortably in time...hmmm
    • Any thoughts or theories on the secret set. I’m hoping for Dillinger.
    • Unfortunately like many things the people in the country want a good defence, but don’t want to pay for it. You will then get Reform saying they will throw all the immigrants, get rid of DEI, cut the benefits of all the lazy young people and we will be rolling in money.
