Latitude have great musicians but having just read the blurb for the 10th anniversary

"'For Richer, For Poorer, For Better, For Worse' Tania Harrison, arts programmer for Latitude Festival explained the theme, saying, "Whether it's clicking 'yes' to Google’s terms of service, saying 'I do' in a marriage ceremony, or putting an X in a political party's box at the general election, the agreements we make affect the lives of everyone around us. Yet at the same time, there's a tension between the world in which we're told we're 'all in this together' and our society itself, with its growing extremes of rich and poor [...]

all I can think is, w*nkers.

What do you find so disagreeable about this?

Is the Sunday lunchtime announcement yet to come? Or is it the Manics? I'm inclined to think it'll be announced later like in previous years.

Yeah loads still to come for Sunday including the lunchtime slot. They usually knock it out of the park, I'm confident it'll be excellent again.

Agreed, Jon Hopkins, Portishead and SBTRKT as my headliners is amazing, maybe even rivals last years Mogwai - Royksopp & Robyn - Lykke Li home run, one of their patented Sunday bangers would round it out so nicely. They've absolutely nailed it in the past, and the previous 2 years with Atomic Bomb and Bobby Womack have be completely off the scale. The only way I can see them topping it is with Patti Smith, but I'm happy to be pleasantly surprised by something out of the blue like last year.

Can't fault the headliners. Would've liked to have seen the Maccabees subbing. Personally thinkn the Vaccines are too low, I'd swap them with James Blake, how they are only 2nd stage headliners a year after TDCC were booked as main headliners I don't know (Vaccines > TDCC I'd say). But I guess this being the second time I've been surprised with how low they are (After T) suggests festival organisers aren't expecting their last album to match the last 2.

Think Catfish's billing is also a bit too low, and I'd have maybe gone for someone a bit different for that slot.

Also how are Drenge so low? That one has really surprised me, I think they've been done a bad deal there, Wolf Alice are not three places more popular than Drenge.

Who's your top tip for this year, retromoz? I remember I got into the Phantom Band on the back of you getting excited about them on the official boards last year, their album was one of my favourites of last year and their set was a highlight of the fest, anything you're particularly excited about on this one?

whats the camping like also? full of shouty teens who don't care about others and who don't sleep until 7am or bit more laid back as there is more stuff to do during the night to pre occupy people?

We camp quite far away from the arena, but the tents are very spaced out, the atmosphere is very chilled out. If you look on the map we're usually in red A, but I do know that green is always quite and most of the rest of red.
