Fleetwood Mac have the Sunday free

Really? That's one of the worst suggestions I've ever heard, I hate pop music and they're an absolutely awful example of it, so they're neither current or legendary enough to headline Glastonbury. Other Stage sub at best. Edited by Zac Quinn

I reckon they're waiting until this thread reaches 2000 pages - which going by the last few hours post-rate shouldn't be too long at all.

Once 2000 is reached they'll announce Radiohead and Madonna doing a medley of their combined back catalogue in order to keep as many people (un)happy as possible.

You mean the Wondermints, who used to cover Smile era songs, like Cabinessence? Most of them are still touring with him.

Not sure 2bh mate, but they were with him at Bestival a few years back and they spot on. Shame that couldnt be said for Brian himself but hes getting on abit, and the years of drugs and smoking wouldnt of helped!

The Ian Brown bit was right. The first solo gig where he played Roses songs was with one of the tribute acts. (not the Bluetones)

Maybe you're him.

I've said from the start I don't think you were him. A few people in here were so convinced they started properly laying into you with serious vitriol. It would seem that you genuinely aren't that particular knob after all. Just feel certain people should address that wrong as it doesn't evoke much confidence in newer members.

The jury's still out on whether you are in fact a knob though... ;-)

Is nobody taking anything from the fact yesterday, shangri la said on Twitter they were being held back by the powers that be from announcing details of the themes etc, but they also said more tomorrow (a.k.a today) what could the reason for this be?

agree with this, there was a bit of keyboard vigilantism going on here the other day. not good.

I don't think they actually said when just soon

    • I love this festival but Mordor has got worse and worse to the point now that I dread going there. 10 years ago there just weren’t as many people, as many bottlenecks and there wasnt the need to arrive early to have a decent spot.
    • Aren't they against touring?
    • If my memory serves me right, it was the other way round - when PS 2022 lineup was released it was already confirmed that she plays Barcelona in May.
    • Cheers! And yep looks identical to Green day's scheduling
    • Reading all the feedback with interest.  If there are now 75,000 tickets officially sold, plus who knows how many more people blagging in - then on the Friday evening and Saturday in particular, it's not ridiculous to suggest there's 50,000 people at Mordor, which is a stadium gig - except with much worse sight lines, an inferior PA, and far less bars and toilets. The Thursday evening in 2022 was of course infamous but on the Friday night for Beck I was trapped about 150m from the stage, surrounded by chatters, and with no prospect of getting nearer the stage.  With hindsight that was when I realised the fest had one way or another fundamentally changed.  Also noting on Reddit that some folk didn't enjoy the Cure or Gorillaz because the sets were "too long".  In future bands may be better received if they actually just play their top 10 Spotify songs then get back off the stage.
