RIP. Read her last book relatively recently. Not massively revelatory or anything and she was always too classy to really dish serious dirt but its an interesting insight into Lennon. Particularly around the mid 60s. Just pre Yoko. A lazy amoral fucker.

It's a great read. She always came across as a nice lady

Thanks for your kind words people. It means a lot. A family member sorted my camper ticket (East) and balance this morning so cheered me up. Like I said before, if Taylor plays I'm gonna try and host a party for all you guys. Let's have that line up and let's see Motorhead, Prodigy, Steely Dan and all the GOOD stuff on there

I'm fully on board with this. Steely dan. Now we're talking. TS for you to smile about, steely dan for the navel gazers

Or from the fact that back on 30th October Michael Eavis said the identity of the headliners would remain a mystery "until April 1st". See eg http://www.xfm.co.uk/festivals/glastonbury/news/michael-eavis-no-fleetwood-mac-headliners-2015/

I always take this to mean "not before 1st April" rather than "on 1st April".

It's unlikely they'd have set-in-stone the announcement date 6 months in advance, and it's unlikely that they'd think exactly 1st April was the perfect day to announce each and every year.

I'd say an announcement of some sort is perhaps possible tomorrow morning/early arvo, but if that doesn't happen with Easter in the way it's not going to be until after the resale.

(I don't know either way, I'm guessing).

In your opinion Neil, hypothetically if nothing more was released before the resale (or at least before payment deadline) do you think it'd make the resale easier or harder?

Why do people keep saying "not over Easter" or "Easter is in the way". I don't understand. Is it unheard of to release info over an Easter break? After all, the deposit paying service won't be shut over that time.

I think that's on the money. If an announcement (not the line up but a bunch of names like last year) doesn't arrive tomorrow, I think we'll see it until closer to the resale, but I'd be surprised if they held it back until after that.

The fact that they told you previously there was "unlikely" to be an announcement last month must mean that it was possible and if it was possible, that lends to thinking they're more likely to announce sooner than later this month, in my opinion. If they hadn't any plans to announce until late April/May, they'd have been more likely to say it isn't coming in March categorically.

Releasing the line up probably requires work for some tecchies, radio phone calls for Emily and so on. Not the sort of thing you want to do on a day off

Why do we assume it is a day off though? I'm still working Friday/Monday.

    • was happy to swerve the main stages on Saturday, but thought it was fine for The Cure, we just went down the opposite side & got a decent spot close to the front, everyone into it (admittedly a bit off to the side)   a festival that now books Olivia Rodrigo as a surprise set isn't going to get any smaller, for better or for worse it is miles apart from when I was first going   personally I still find the people amazing, never have any hassle & the line ups are always so strong & diverse.  We will definitely return for the 25th anniversary next year!
    • I love this festival but Mordor has got worse and worse to the point now that I dread going there. 10 years ago there just weren’t as many people, as many bottlenecks and there wasnt the need to arrive early to have a decent spot.
    • Aren't they against touring?
    • If my memory serves me right, it was the other way round - when PS 2022 lineup was released it was already confirmed that she plays Barcelona in May.
    • Cheers! And yep looks identical to Green day's scheduling
