I'm a member of the Ian Brown forums and there is no sign of any "in the know" Glastonbury rumours for The Roses and they normally have quite a few people in the loop on anything Ian Brown/Roses related. Not saying it won't happen though.

I'm a little torn on if I want them there or not. Saw them at Heaton and thought it was a fantastic gig and I would be happy for that to be my abiding memory of them. Could be a great gig on Pyramid but could equally be a train wreck. I would be there if it did happen though.

I don't even think neil knew about the kanye announcement at all. Site wasn't updated for an hour after!

I was watching Liverpool spank Swansea ... I saw it had been announced at half time (about 8.50pm), when i also saw that Scott had already spotted it and written it up (at half time of the Reading/Bradford match, in his case).

There was no 'Stand by your bads' for the Kanye announcement cos Neil was having his tea.

can you imagine the fury that would have followed if he had? we'd all see Stand by your beds and get the Kleenex ready to see the full lineup poster and then we'd only see Kanye

the Kanye haters would still be spitting feathers

Spank?! There was only one team in it for the first 45 minutes, and you only beat us with a flukey deflection. Going to need to play a lot better than that first half on Sunday...

Out of interest Neil.......Liverpool or Swansea? Or just simply watching the game?

How dare he have a life.

Maybe you should run a site and keep it updated every second as it seems you don't have a life.

Mate what I meant was that Neil probably didn't even know the announcement was coming, since he said how he didn't think it was Kanye just before and then the site wasn't updated till much later.

no, one guy who said it was the Stone Roses said it would be announced this Friday, then said he was 90% sure. it wasn't the baggie4roses or whatever guy.

that was the water aid guy who has gone quiet since

    • Judging by last night at Wembley, Luke Combs should be in the conversation of headliner. The UK is having a moment with country music so I don't think it would be particularly left field either.

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
