Went for the £125 ones and managed to get what seemed like the only ones available in one of the A blocks. Think there'll be a few unhappy campers elsewhere though.

I got the next price down and it is high up but it was a case of bugger it, I'll be there. I couldn't justify more than what I paid, and I've only just justified that but I am close to the stage. If it was high and like half way to the end of the arena side down, I'd have sacked it off. I think given his Roskilde date though, there is a chance of an appearance for a song or two at the Foo's set.

125+ a ticket Russ, surely you have something firm to say about that!

Starting at £75 I think. I can't say much though as I paid £120 for Leonard Cohen the other year, but that seemed fair considering almost every member of his band is a world leading musician in their own right.

The same can't be said for macca

Well he was great in 2012, can't speak for 2015 I suppose.

He's got one of the greatest rock n roll voices of all time

Haha, I was slimmer in 2012. It's defo not as much the same case in 2015 haha.

I know man, hence I got to write a wrong from back then when I turned it down because of the price tag, I said next time I'll just do it, and I dithered but went for it. I'm expecting someone to say I should have just dithered lol.

Good Macca tickets secured. What a palaver of particularly pointless presalery.

It did seem a bit of a pointless exercise but I got through not bother as did a friend. I managed to get a cheap flight down and a cheap train home as well so a successful morning.

RE: Leonard Cohen

I proper fucked up at that gig. Proper fucked up.

I shudder to think how much it cost me to see Cohen. Tickets were 750ish euros (for 4) plus flight from Moscow to Vienna etc etc. Looking back, I've no idea how I afforded it.

Yeah I think so.

How did you fuck up?

Doors opened say, 7pm and me and the missus were there by then, but i suggested we for a couple of drinks before going in.

When we actually entered the arena concourse there was hardly anyone about...which was odd.

So we went to our seats, the place was full and Leonard was 2 songs away from finishing Old Ideas as the first of 2 acts.

Gutted. How did everyone else apart from me know???

For some acts it just has to be done. you'll never have the chance to see him again.

I paid through the nose last time I saw macca and it was ace so I viewed that was the last time I'd see him. I am at peace with that decision....I think.

Yep! Fuckest uppest.

Still cant work out what happened.

No 'performance starts at...' on the ticket.

And yet everyone seemed to know but me.

Ah well...

Well every gig he has done since he returned in 2008 has had no support act and has gone on for around 3 hours. I knew because I had followed the tour religiously!

    • Kind of crackers how fast this summer seems to be sailing by. But aye, must be some news soon!
    • I am very possibly wrong about this but I do think that the pitch you get allocated appears to be related to your time of arrival, (i.e. you get the next one available) rather than the price you paid for a small, medium or large pitch.  They all appear to be the same size to me.

    • I take my lad to the local non-league club - Royston Town - not he's 13, he goes there with his mates and he plays in their youth team.  Not many people there - lucky if they hit 800, but lovely supporting the town team.  I've took him to some league clubs too - Cambridge and Stevenage are great to visit and not crazy prices - his first one was Cambridge v Sunderland (I'm a mackem) when they were in league 1, so a great experience for him.  The England matches aren't too bad value either at Wembley - it's just the parking that stings you. Problem is, he's a City fan, so at some point have to bite the bullet and get him up to the Ethiad. Have done the tour, but he'd love a proper game....my wallet, less so!
