How on earth can a forcast change so much in a few hours?

Last week the forcast was disgusting for Swindon and it turned out fantastic

OK.

So imagine a big rain cloud is predicted to be over your house. So it predicts rain.

When the forecasters look again it looks like that weather system will be located 10 miles further west.

So now the forecast will say it looks like it will be sunny over your house.

That's all it takes - 5 miles one way or the other and the forecast changes - it's why it's so stupid all this focusing on specific details.

Tensions are rising- I feel like we're in the last round of a poker tournament, there's a big pile of chips in the middle of the table, which we either win (2010) or lose (2007). It's understandable that people are getting a bit grumpy and tense- there's a lot at stake!

Plus an hour or two shower and charge your phone. That's about a six hour round trip.

It really was only 5-6 hours of rain and dry by following lunchtime. So far forecasts are for less than 1/4 of what we had last year

"Overall a mixed set of charts today and a slight worsening of the score to 5.5. But no real washout charts in the offing."

Sounds like it could just be cloudy with some showers.
