In the nicest possible way - shut the f up.

It was a joke as the LOL suggested as indeed all the forecasts had changed.

I am pretty sick of people like you who seem to have no humour.

And other people are sick of you as we have a different sense of humour. Can you not understand that some people find your behaviour irritating.

Yes it's just a forum, yes you're just having a laugh, we know it's not the end of the world but some people would rather you stopped.

We can't force you too and I suspect you won't but the reason people are occasionally abusive is they are annoyed.

I'm more optimistic that the general forecasts say high pressure Wednesday and Thursday, and is then unsure about the weekend - as opposed to the other way round. More likely to be accurate about Weds/Thurs, but even that is still too far away.

As has just been said above, the forecast may well change for the better over the next few days.

Annoyed over a comment about weather forecasts changing?

Sounds like you need to chill and get a life.

And it was funny the first time

By the tenth it was dull

By twenty I thought you might be a troll or retarded.

We have someone at my work who still does the same Jim Carey impressions he's been doing for five years plus. Is it still funny? No

Sense of humour is different to getting bored of repetition.

The idea is to all live together not to say fuck you I'll do wot I wont

Woah I've been out for lunch and come back to a war? Let's all kiss and make up. Ultimately we're all after the same thing.. decent weather at our beloved festival.

I prefer to look at the scientific side of things rather than preaching to a make believe sun god but if people wish to do that then so be it.

I've got Accuweather app on my phone - any good weather experts?!!

It was spot on for my hols in devon a couple of weeks ago - we had very changeable weather, sun one day, rain the next, then sun again - & it got it exactly right

Anyway it's still saying dry every day so that's good for me :-)

People can learn about the weather and study it's patterns without being affiliated with the Met Office ya know.

Yes but the problem with a lot of the sites being posted is that they are generating a quite specific outcome from a single model output, an at this stage that's not really a reliable forecast method, as people keep mention the specifics are always changing. The only thing we can really do at this stage is to look at lots of different runs of the different models available to determine the weather systems that will most likely be affecting the south west and then use that same data to give us an indication of the 'confidence' of those predictions, which is what, to a certain extent, JackOne/J10 and the Met Office long range forecast are doing.

It is actually ridiculous. If someone is going to go out and buy a set of wellies on the basis of what they read on here beforehand then they deserve taking pelters. I predict snow.

You should be. We all should be. We're absolutely guaranteed rain at this point for at least 3 of the 5 days.

Getting windy out there. Theres a storm a-brewin'.

DOOM

Just wonder if I could ask you two a favour; if you could pop over to the NFR NFC thread and spread some of your positivity liberally over there for a bit. I think they'd really appreciate it. :-)

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
