Franz Ferdinand just posted this on facebook and said "Anyone going to any festivals this summer?". Can we take this as a confirmation?

I think its least a SR if not a TBC :D Get in lads! I expect maybe Sunday (I think thier playing Friday and Saturday in Europe...so was thinking they might not be there afterall).

I wouldn't call that a confirmation, that photo's 10 years old.

Never to early to get in the queue :P

Yes please Franz Ferdinand. The Roundhouse gig I was at the other month was possibly the best I've ever seen them.

I was at the Friday Roundhouse gig, quite agree on brilliant form live at the moment! A shame they have got smaller, as they certaintly seem to be improving the show all the time.

Fat White Family are my local pub band. They are equally brilliant/mental whether performing live or haphazardly serving behind the bar.

I also know their sound guy who told me a few weeks ago they'd be at Glasto but didn't know where or when at that point. Out of interest where is the info with actual stages/set times now coming from?

They put the stage times on their facebook, think dentalplan posted a link to it on the previous page.

    • Plenty of good stuff this month. Very difficult choice, but I'm going with some of those I've listened to most (the sunny weather may also have been influential)...   1. The Coral - 388 2. Kurt Vile - Philadelphia's Been Good to Me 3. The Lemon Twigs - Look For Your Mind!   Others I've been enjoying... Laurie Anderson's live album, Broken Social Scene, Pigeon, The Black Keys, etc
    • Yesterday was was Primavera is all about and a reminder of why I come back every year. I saw 9 acts, very diverse in terms of genre and vibe, and most of them were great.  Highlights:   The Cure - have wanted to see them for years. Finally caught them and it was immaculate. Robert Smith's vocals at his age are incredible. The band sounded exactly like the albums which is impressive. 2.5 hours with basically no filler somehow.  Viagra Boys - what a front man! So much energy. Non stop moshing. Sound was great, vibe was top notch. Again 10/10 for me.  Rilo Kiley - basically what pipan said. Not a huge crowd but nice vibe, good sound. Different from the other acts I saw.   I also enjoyed the late night electronic stuff with Aurora Halal and KI/KI being fun. Caught some of Skrillex before Aurora Halal and it was cool in it's own way but not really my thing so we left.
