his b2b set with caribou (daphni) that year was exceptional

i went to watch it after Stevie but i was just coming out of a k-hole / the tent was absolutely rammed so i didn't end up making it. went to see Orbital instead after a brief sit down. that was good

Billy Daniel Bunter self confirmed on facebook (old school rave)

Strange DJ to book, doesnt really fit into any of the dance stages unless they are going down the hardcore route one night.

He played the temple last year, there was quite a lot of jungle and oldskool about in the common and block nine.

Billy Butler - Looks like it could be bangface takeover again in the glade lounge next to spirit of 71 stage, cracking Friday night in there last year, crowd surfing with people riding in inflatable canoes

I think it will be something in the common, possibly with slipmatt and others. Must try and get to bangface this year!

Fair enough, didnt realise they catered much for the harder side of thing.

If they got Mark EG down there I may have to put my raving shoes back on

That'll be ace. Where do people think? Avalon? Park? Much rather one of them than JPT.

I reckon Park myself, he would be great if the afternoon, i doubt any later as not really identifed himself as a solo artist yet, though he's have a reasonable crowd because of Doves.

    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
