1. I'm allowed an opinion, just as you are.

2. I'm allowed an opinion that's different to yours.

3. the closed-minded one is the one that throws his dummy out of the pram because someone has a different opinion to him.

Now, if you'd like to act like an adult, I'd just like to point out that it's hugely likely that my experiences of IM are massively greater than your own, seeing as I saw their 1st tour, their 2nd tour, their 3rd tour... etc, etc, etc.

yeah, which is why I saw 1st tour, their 2nd tour, their 3rd tour... etc, etc, etc.

They are a very traditional head banging metal band.-the sort of band Glastonbury tends to avoid like the plague .they are easily one of the very biggest acts in the world and quite frankly they don't need the exposure. They are already at the top. I like them a lot but don't ever expect to see Maiden at Glastonbury.

I can only name 'Run for the hills' and 'The number of the beast'..

..Probably more to do with them being before my time (21), and that i've never felt the need to listen to them. Having said that, just by the association I make (and therefore everyone else should make..) I don't think they'd go down very well at Glastonbury (or at Reading or Leeds anymore).

Neil, all of that is true, but you have to remember, and I think you forget sometimes, that you have the high ground in every argument because this is your site. If we don't agree then you have that final say ....

it's backchat like that that'll get you banned!

and the fact that jeffie is still here posting gets to show that what he thinks has no relationship with what actually happens around here.

Im not a metal fan at all but like many my age I had "Number of the beast" and loved it, very popular with all sorts. I think that they would get a crowd but not big enough, I would suspect that the interest would not be enough to justify a pyramid headline and would they accept anything else?

I would turn up to see if that is any concolation to them.

The crowd wouldn't be big enough. They are a band that you really need to like to go along and see. It's not the kind of music you can just get in to (at least, that's my opinion) and enjoy for one evening.

I do find the metal lovers hilarious with their determination to defend metal at Glasto though. Like there's not already festivals dedicated to that genre.. That isn't good enough. GLASTO MUST HAVE METAL.

No, it really doesn't need it.

    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
