Love Andy's reasoning on Trivium being second stage headliners now, we listened to the fans and said we will put them outside instead of in the tent.

Nothing to do with Lamb of God pulling their slot.

And then In flames pull too, So instead of

Lamb of God

In Flames

we have

Trivium

The Pretty Reckless

Jesus, what a step down. Im absolutely GUTTED about In Flames, especially as they haven't even announced it, but forums mods have said they've been told they've pulled, Andy hasn't even mentioned it.

Shame to hear about In Flames, would of been a pretty decent end to the festival them and Trivium. The Pretty Recklass are woeful too so kinda ending with a whimper now, especially given Trivium have been bumped up cause DL can't successfully book big bands anymore lol. Still I don't mind Trivium and the tent would of been rammed. I think the overall line up is fairly weak and shallow but it really is just an off year I guess. Hopefully ticket sales drop and the site is much quieter - was too rammed in recent years!

Few nasty clashes presenting themselves too (Annoying off a fairly weak lineup lol), but Download tends to add new bands kinda random so can't be sure they're final yet. Really hope blessthefall get bumped down a few to get them out the way of BMTH / KSE. Memphis May Fire could do with moving down too...

Happy with BMTH and Within Temptation though, so at least the last few big slots worked out for me.

    • Ah, that is interesting and ruins my theory a bit!!   I think my point just about holds though, and coming full circle on this discussion, being a sizable band such as Muse and not being able to sell out two O2 dates very quickly or at all doesn’t fill me with confidence that they be able to do a decent job selling a stadium tour…although maybe if Muse do something about their pricing, maybe they can!
    • I’ve said it elsewhere too but Emily Eavis said a 2028 headliner was booked, to me that’s only going to be someone the size of Oasis or Taylor Swift
    • Christ didn't even see that!
    • It does feel very bland. It would certainly spell another year (my third, I think) away from Pyramid headliners for me. That doesn't mean they aren't worthy, though. I don't follow what any of them are up to, as it isn't my thing. Good luck to them.   You would think coming off a fallow year, they would want one big hitter. 'Big hitter' is obviously open to debate, but that was/is Madonna. Let's have it right. The eggs have gone in that basket, and it seems (as far the rumours go) that it's blown up. So now you're left with another plan B/replacement headliner.   I'm still of the opinion that Oasis will do it, before the Oasis thing is all said and done. Probably 2028, if they can come to an agreement. It may transpire that 2027 is bland (or at least to some of us), and 2028 is a bit... wild.   Again, though, none of us categorically know ANY of the headliners, as it stands.
    • Second go.....    Still f**king fantastic - Well done WIlliam Orbit -  Bugman & Trimm Trabb mega tracks - No Distance Left To Run hauntingly Beautiful
