Joe Bonamassa is possibly the best guitarist alive today, and always puts on a great show. Hope he gets a decent length of set. Although I probably won't be there anyway. But definitely check him out. And Quicksand, they were great at Reading last year.

My mate loved this announcement, even more than the one with letlive, Crossfaith and WSS in it. Apparently she likes the Pretty Reckless and a shitty band called American Head Charge which are one of the worst bands I have heard in a while

All good. I'm actually loving the line up this year. Anyone who doesn't appreciate Bonamassa might as well go to R1 Big Weekend.

I'm sure the early adopters like me got their tickets at 2013 price minus a tenner.

So tickets are reduced back down to 2013 prices (£195) again... I feel a bit jipped i bought at that price as an early adopter to 'support' the festival and they're just throwing it out again. But I guess they're pretty desperate given the lineup they're working with this year.

The Facebook also says the 'pricing structure' is changing Feb 1st at which point the 2013 price offer will be gone... anyone got an info on this? I seriously doubt they'll be raising prices so I'm curious if they're going to find a very nasty way to make it cheaper (And sell more tickets) without directly pissing off everyone whos bought one thus far. But I'm only going off what the facebook said.

EDIT: I'm not sure if they've always been that price actually? Looked and the £195 ones are 3 day camping not 5 day so I'm prob getting confused. *shrug*

wow, this is officially the worst download lineup ever, i think there are 5 bands I would watch, and none of them are bands I havent seen before.

glad I'm not going, although at least it will be nice and quiet.

Seeing people on the official DL forums who've all bought early birds trying desperately to convince everyone else (and probably themselves) that this line-up is as good as previous years is pretty funny. I'd love to know how sales are going this year, the general reaction online to the announcements has been terrible. Far worse than 2011's, where the only contentious bit was Leppard being booked again.

Having listened to a few of the bands, I liked Quicksand and really liked Kill Devil Hill.

Crazy Town will be a laugh, even if it is just to laugh at them, although I do own 2 albums. Oops.

I'm very happy with Seether, Killswitch, Skindred, Sabaton and Joe Bonamassa.

Sunday is going to be a nightmare for clashes with Seether, Sabaton, Avatar and Trivium to fit in the gaps of the main stage. Saturday needs beefing up a lot though.

When you look at the way the bands fall on the poster that I did now, I really don't think its a bad line up, plus you still have 3rd from top of main stage on Friday and Saturday to announce and Sunday second stage headliners.

I loved 2011, how it was quieter, 2012 was TOO busy and I didn't go last year.

Im defo going this year, theres a hell of a lot I would see now. Yesterday added a lot for me. Killswitch on European exclusive is a pretty big deal, wonder how they managed that, think they'll have the same deal with Lamb of God too.

Imagine the fact that KSE will have toured their new album throughout the UK (and Europe?) twice now will have significantly reduced demand.

There's not quite enough on the lineup to make me spend £200 on a ticket just yet, but it's not awful by any means. There'd be enough to keep me occupied I expect. Surprised they didn't get Tool though.
