Would have to be sunset slot I reckon, I wonder if this is the out of the blue surprise that Emily referenced in interviews around ticket day.  That Just got paid clip is enough to convince me they'd be well worth crossing the farm for, cheers for that.

Or as its otherwise known, 'the evening rock slot where it pisses down'. See Motorhead and Robert Plant.

AIN'T GONNA PISS IT DOWN THIS YEAR!

I'm picturing Sunday evening sunset 2010 as being the perfect setting for the top.  If we could just make sure that Fri-Sun end like that I'll be a happy old git.

IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING!

although sorry to be a realist but didn't a similar thing happen with Natalie Prass last year - a website listing her as playing Glastonbury - which didn't end up happening? granted ZZ's dates make them look far more likely, but i've learnt not to get my hopes up for this kind of stuff this early on

Nah, Prassy announced a couple of UK dates right before Glastonbury and it seemed blatant that it was a warm up, and then turned out not to be. I don't think there was every any explicit Glasto mention, whereas this seems to be the real deal if they're putting it in press releases that are going to the venues.

I think Natalie Prass was more due to her tour finishing on the Thursday night in Bristol rather than due to anything concrete.

hmm if not her then i'm sure it happened with somebody, because i remember the eventual crushing disappointment of realising whoever it was wasn't on the lineup

fuck it, ZZ Top are playing. pretty great for one of (if not the first?) self confirmations. i knew all our badgering would make it happen

Fantastic news if confirmed. I've only ever seen ZZ Top at festivals and they are a GREAT festival band. I'm thinking they are the Sunday tea time " not even rumoured" band that Emily made a big deal out of but I can easily see them headlining West Holts.
