The only complete Pyramid headlining set I've seen in all my Gastonbury's is Bruce Springsteen, cos one of my best mates was so excited about it. Couldn't leave him hanging there could I?

There have been one or two I've regretted missing though.

That's a couple of times now you've mentioned the search for a '3rd headliner'. I'm sure you'll tell me I've missed this somewhere but does this mean you're confident they've already got two lined up or is this assuming The Stones eventually come through, along with Arctics?
They've only got one firmly sorted - Emily said so to the Guardian about a week ago.

From other info I've had, it seems pretty certain that the one they've got sorted is not the Stones. However, it seems to be the case that they're waiting on the Stones rather than chasing bands to play instead of them.

Meanwhile, I've had loads of info about approaches having been made to a number of acts about headlining. I know some of those have not been successful.

Happy to see Gaga as an official rumour, but I wonder why....
Gaga's uk fan club have suggested - said, even - she's headlining.

As things stand I don't think it's right, but it might be.

if that were to be it, and i fear that we are a long way off, then the Stones would be the only real must for me. I like the Arctics but according to folk you can not really depend on the set list. I only really like the first two albums and they hardly play any of them these days. Gaga, definatley not for me, which would be great as i can go somewhere else, like the last when i saw Kool and the Gang instead of Bouncy.

Just to add to The Cure discussion from a few pages back.

They've just announced a large South American tour throughout April. I still doubt Glastonbury would talk to them but they are at least playing somewhere this year which could make them approachable.

I was pondering earlier....wouldn't it be great if the headliners were Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian and Mumfords. 3 youngish bands, 2 of which never headlined before, a real turnaround on appealing to the middle aged and instead attracting the young the year after as Eavis keeps on about.
