I can’t see the pyramid stage or the screens cos of the flags . Jesus, enough! They are awful. and I not normally thus grumpy 😅 But they are a scourge on the festival 🫣2 points

Never had a flag and never been bothered by them either but I honestly can’t imagine being that uptight that flags make you angry at Glastonbury, of all places!2 points

I know a group who flag responsibly. Theirs only goes up when one of the group heads for the bar or urinals and straight back down when they get back.2 points

Yeah my friend's brother is playing in the live band. He says they're subbing Other on the Saturday 🙂. I think that could be great.1 point

https://consequence.net/2024/01/festival-headliner-underwhelming-2024/ Very interesting article around the sentiment of underwhelming headliners and a conversation around why that is. It’s mostly US festivals but Glastonbury is used as an example of mostly playing it safe. It seems to be a mix of factors such as booking cost, most acts have played major festivals before and big acts no longer perform live or see it as downmarket to play festivals.1 point

They’re around at the time, seem to be playing a bunch of festivals and have a new album out. Seem like a good bet to be playing.1 point

i agree, but in the time you've been going to glasto, that stage has had three or five different bookers, amazing how consistent the line-ups are knowing that.1 point

Either it would be a side-quest at this point in her career or just a chance to try again given this was the big plan for 2020 until some virus or other got in the way. Guess ball's in her court as to what she wants to do. In 2026 at earliest, probably.1 point

id rather Labour got on and did stuff before the cost and consequences make it umpteen times harder , if only there was an agreement on this amongst all parties and it wasn't party political . we could have been a world leader yet we will trail along behind everyone else1 point

Good cause they are supporting, seems metal heath issues are a serious problem in the farming community.1 point

She might be demonstrabl bigger now, but she was clearly happy to play G20 for what would of been a fraction of her usual fee - so I see no reason why she wouldn't compromise again.1 point

Because Taylor is one of the most financially focussed artists in history - the Margaret Thatcher of pop. She'll make loads more money from her own tour to add to the billion she already has, and can do Glastonbury at some point in the future for the street cred when she's done rinsing her fans by getting them all to buy 72 limited edition vinyls of every release.1 point

Less 'w*nky hipster shop' and more genuine charity outlet I'm afraid. I bought a terrific shirt for £10 actually. https://traid.org.uk/traid-hits-glastonbury/1 point

I'm in the exclusion zone camp on this one. There should be a certain point to which you're allowed flags, but banned as you get closer to the stage. They do it with seating at some of the stages, so they can do it with flags.1 point

Great isn't it. I've amazed people at least a couple of times by pointing out that there is an on site dentist team when they were suffering. Had to use them myself once.1 point

If there’s a headliner that floats your boat on WH but you’ve got a clash I’d say give it a second thought before you bin off the WH act because it’s got such a great atmosphere… it’s weird because the stage itself is fairly standard and unremarkable but it has a certain something that you can’t quantify really. Bicep and Justice on WH are two of my absolute fave gigs ever!1 point

For me, they barely put a foot wrong for their first three. Quickly went south after. Knocked Up is an absolute banger.1 point

Probably best to play it by ear. They are one of those bands who could absolutely ignite a ninety-minute show by sticking close to the obvious ones. 1 Feeling a Moment 2 Comfort in Sound 3 Lost & Found 4 Shatter 5 Renegades 6 Silent Cry 7 Pushing the Senses 8 Figure You Out 9 Come Back Around 10 Tender 11 We Can't Rewind 12 Borders 13 Eskimo 14 Just the Way I'm Feeling 15 Insomnia 16 Yesterday Went Too Soon 17 Seven Days in the Sun 18 High 19 Buck Rogers 20 Just a Day1 point

Like I said, a weird one. Would I book them to headline? No. Would they accept anywhere else on the bill? Probably not. Would Emily book them if available and she'd had a few options drop the ball? Not implausible. They're an unpopular booking here, but let's face it, we're just a fragment of the Glastonbury crowd. There will be plenty delighted with them doing ninety minutes atop El Pointo.1 point

Hi all Due to some unfortunate circumstances I can't attend with my ticket group at Glastonbury this year and am wondering if anyone has found themselves in a similar situation or knows of any groups or pages where people can find eachother? I'm 28, work in Cardiff as a doctor, am sporty and easy going! Any help much appreciated!1 point
