Never listened to the Sam Smith track but that's not hard to believe. Yeah really nice song, bit caught up in the whole Christmas thing at the moment to appreciate it properly but I'm sure it'll get a fair few listens in time. Really need that album though.

Years and Years in the same league as Ronson/Motörhead/Lana/Pixies from the past couple years? Call me out of touch, but I can't see them playing any higher than 4th other stage or early afternoon pyramid

they've taken off massively since playing Glastonbury this year - now moved on to headlining arenas. seemed odd to me too, but people go nuts for them, and i can't see past them taking a pretty sizeable slot

Well. I dunno @dentalplan haha. Years and Years would really be such a let down on a stage that really should cater for the pinnacle of performing arts. It is The Pyramid right!?

They just seem Other Stage worthy for me at the moment.

look back at some of the acts who've played that stage over the years - it's not the pinnacle of the performing arts; it's often just flavour of the moment acts. Years and Years probably do sit more comfortably on Other, but they've gotten so huge (with no sign of that slowing down) that a Pyramid slot looks very in their grasp
