Yes, the 235 euro 4-day ticket excludes the Wednesday.  They might at some point add options to combine it with the other 4 days (or some other permutations) depending how much they need to shift tickets, but currently it is standalone.

There is no set pattern for them - in fact they are probably slightly ahead of previous years in having three headliners announced already.  Would expect something more before Christmas to boost sales, but they don't usually do big line-up drops and instead add names in pieces.

 

Sales seem to have been high on the back of announcing The Cure so they probably aren't in a rush to throw out further names.

Morning all. I am a refugee from the Sziget page.

 

As it's looking less and less likely that Sziget will happen in 2026, I'm seeking a back-up plan. Rock en Seine's line-ups always look great. I just wondered if anyone could share their views on the festival in general.

 

I like the names announced already and we (six of us) would likely do all five days. So, is it:

 

- friendly?

- expensive?

- safe?

- what time does it start/finish each day?

- how many acts/stages in total?

- is there much available other than music stages?

- how good/bad does the weather tend to be?

Hi! I was there for the first time in last August. I liked it. But it has definitely not the Sziget vibe (have been there as well), as people arrive in the afternoon and leave after the concerts to their hotels or homes all over the town. If you like to visit some places in Paris and listen to the concerts in the afternoon/evening, then it's perfect. Food/Drinks was good and not too expensive, I felt safe (a lot of Police at the entrance), easy accessable by metro, not too much going on apart from music. Much smaller than Sziget. 1 big and 2 smaller stages, concerts start in the afternoon, no party all over the night as at Sziget because you have to leave the place after the last concert and no camping there. If you like to combine your stay in Paris with some nice concerts, and stay in a Hotel, then it's perfect. If you want the Festival-vibe, then it's not what you want... Then f.e. Lowlands is much better...

- friendly?  It's Paris so you're not likely to make a lot of new friends, but compared to some UK festivals the ****hole contingent is very low, no one is really going to bother you.

- expensive?  Similar to UK festivals for food and drink, you can buy pitchers of beer to reduce the cost slightly.  Some variety of beer strengths, rather than one single type of lager everywhere. There are food and drink options nearby, it's in a city area and not stuck in the middle of nowhere like some UK/European festivals.

- safe? Never had any problems, and that includes the 30-40 minute walk back to the hotel after finish.

- what time does it start/finish each day? - start varies by day, between 2-4pm.  Finishes around midnight (earlier on the Sunday)

- how many acts/stages in total? - 1 big and 1 fairly big stages, then three smaller ones in descending order, everything outdoors except one (the smallest is a tent which just has mainly French acts on).  The two biggest stages alternate, but there is a walk between them (and the third stage is a hike from the main stage, the festival area is a long thin rectangle and they are at opposite ends).  About 20 acts per day on the "normal" days, fewer on the Wednesday.  The line ups are quite varied by genre so you might end up with big gaps depending on your taste.

- is there much available other than music stages? - no, there are lots of sponsor/branded stalls where you maybe spin a wheel to get some branded tat, or get your photo taken or whatever.  There is a record/CD shop where they have some signing sessions.  They'll have some outdoor photo exhibition to wander round.  There is a craft beer bar where you have a chance of a seat and a break between acts, and some of the sponsors are drink brands where they'll have their own bar with some seating/terrace.  But there is no dance area like you get at other festivals.

- how good/bad does the weather tend to be? - similar to what you'd expect the August bank holiday to be in the UK, can be warm but showery.

Yes should have said this as being a positive - the hours and the scheduling will allow plenty of time for sightseeing, if that's what you want to include.  Whereas when we went to Mad Cool (which goes on much later into the night) we were basically getting up each day and going back out to the festival site and didn't see much of Madrid itself.

i would like to add that it has a chill vibe, everything is smoothly organised, there is a kids area and you can get wine per bottle

I think the reason why people there connect to each other is that most of the people are there for the music. It's different from a 4-Days-Festival with people who are there because of the festival itself...

Well they're going with the purple theme which could be Olivia Rodrigo. No other tour dates so far so could be just a short run of festival dates if it is her.

Last day of the Turnstile EU tour tommorow and since they already have two festivals in august i'm pretty sure they might be a part of this announcement.

I guess names from Paredes de Coura are also a big possibilities - Wet Leg, Amyl and the Sniffers, Aldous Harding, Kurt Vile, Cate le Bon, Maruja.

She is working on a new album; so depends when that drops. If it's early next year (as predicted) then guessing she does her own shows (US tour first) over festivals (especially as she just did europe fests this summer) and be back in Europe this time next year.
