  1. Primavera Sound announced them as only EU festival appearance 😞
  2. Looking at the smaller names, it could simply be two names on the same line separated by an x. Don't know why every headliner got his own line except them, but I think it's just Sean Paul, Paolo Nutini.
  3. Mine too. It's a very nice festival but definitely if you want to get a good spot at an evening main stage show, you have to miss the previous ones on the other stages. (Anyways, I attended to Yeah Yeah Yeahs at Cascade from a good position and then run to The Chemical Brothers being far from the Grande Scene, but visual and audio by The Chems were amazing also from long distance, so I enjoyed their show too). If I remember correctly, they released the timetables in early July last year. Don't remember the date but it surely was more than one month before the festival took place.
  4. I don't think so. All the stages are far enough (and separated by trees, stands, people...) to don't have soundbleeding and if you were together with 40k persons waiting for The Strokes I'm sure you wouldn't understand that much about Bonobo's set. It's a very nice festival, but every day you better choose the 3-4 shows you want to attend more and enjoy them. Anything more is a bonus (like half shows from a certain distance)
  5. The distance is not big but it's more a matter of organization and people. The show on one stage starts suddenly when the other show is finished and it's impossible to get a good spot on every show. For an example, last year's sunday had Foals (Grande) than Bonobo (Cascade) than The Strokes (Grande) and almost everyone took a spot for Foals and stayed there for Strokes. Bonobo played in front an almost empty field and walking from/to the Grande Scene during that evening was really hard.
  6. So, surprisingly (or not?) Denzel Curry announced American Tour during PKP-LWL. This opens a nice hole in Friday's Marquee schedule.
  7. Hi, never done that so I hope someone else can help you more than me. Regarding extra night trains, at the moment (but I don't think this will change), SNCB website only talks about Sunday night, when the festival ends a bit earlier than Friday/Saturday and many Belgian people come back home: https://www.belgiantrain.be/en/leisure/music-events/pukkelpop Last regular train to Brussels is expected to leave Hasselt station at 22.56 and the next one is at 6 something the morning after, so it also depends on your festival experience. I can see Fred Again or Soulwax + some minor acts closing their stage around 01.30/02.00 am and then some DJs going over till 4 am, but also a lot of shows taking place all day long starting 11 am (e.g. Fontaines DC and Inhaler will surely be playing in the afternoon). Then you have to reach the train station. A taxi to Brussels would surely be expensive (it's 80 kms drive) especially when you have a free train ride from any Belgian train station and way back included in your festival ticket. Probably the best option is to book a room around Hasselt for Friday night and then go back to Brussels using the free train on Saturday. Or maybe you can consider spending a couple of days in Brussels and a couple of ones in a smaller town closer to the festival like Diest (the taxi should be ways less expensive than Brussels and you can still use the free train ride from/to Brussels).
  8. The Kills are already at Pukkelpop
  9. C'mon Pukkelpop, you know what to do!
  10. I simply don't understand why and indie rock fan should go to Sziget 2024 and why Sziget spended money to book bands like Yard Act or Fontaines DC instead of making an even stronger pop/dance festival (which basically it is). You all have your reasons but there's a lot of cool festivals around if this one doesn't match your tastes.
  11. I think only Liam Gallagher, Editors, Yves Tumor, Mannequin Pussy in today's announcement 😬
  12. Glass Beams and Yves Tumor for sure. There's also one of the many projects by Jonny Greenwood (who'll be playing also with The Smile) that are always interesting to check. Didn't know Ghinzu but I read they're a belgian band from the early 2000s recently reunited and accompained by some hype...
  13. New names added. Amazing line-up
  14. It would be their 4th Belgian show in 2024, they're literally everywhere... Not very likely but always welcome
  15. FYA I have been to Idles+Ditz show in Stockholm a few days ago and we were forbidden to bring almost anything into the venue (including any kind of bags and water in plastic bottles), security checks were pretty accurate and there was a delimited bar area, far from the stage, where we were allowed to drink. The venue informed us about these new restrictions stated by the Sweden Police in November 2023. Luckily the security guys under the stage gave us sips of water from the bottles all the concert long, but at the end of Idles set we still were thirsty as hell (Ditz started at 19.30 and Idles finished at 22.55 and we only had one beer before 7 pm). I might be wrong but I can imagine something similar will happen at the festival too.
  16. Normally there are buses from/to the most important portuguese cities announced later in the year (during spring) https://www.vodafoneparedesdecoura.com/como-chegar/
  17. Check also Chalk, Fat Dog and The Haunted Youth if you don't know them
  18. Pommelien Thijs? Hmmm
  19. I'm here for the small names 😁
  20. maybe the mysterious Paredes headliner then
  21. Interesting. There's still a lot of big names touring and available who would fit, like for example Kasabian, The Libertines, Liam Gallagher, The Prodigy... A name shared with Rock Werchter, like The Hives or Idles, is also possible but they won't announce it before July so ut doesn't make much sense.
  22. Does this mean that a couple of big names still have to be announced? 🧐
  23. Glass Beams just announced by Way Out West, so they'll be back in Europe next August. They have a sold out show at Botanique next April and could be a wonderful Spring addition. Osees (I know they would be a 2023 repetition but sometimes it happens) don't have any Belgian show announced this year and are playing London Aug-15 and Green Man Aug-17, so they're also a possibility for the Sunday.
  24. Regarding today's no-announcement, it simply looks like this was Lowlands time. 44 names have already been announced during the last month and many more are surely already booked and planned to be announced during the next weeks. They're in the relaxed position they don't need to push the sales and they already have the budget to build a strong festival and strengthen their reputation without risks. There won't be big last-minute-bookings but it will be a strong edition.
  25. Italian boutique festival announced a big part of its line-up. They always share some names with Club-Lift stages and in fact we already have Yin Yin and Fat Dog. BDRMM, Model/Actriz, Heartworms, Tapir!, Egyptian Blue would be more than welcome for me (without mentioning Explosions In The Sky and Kae Tempest)
